Just get me on the pitch – versatile Port Vale midfielder is happy to play anywhere
Port Vale midfielder Jason Lowe says he’s happy to play anywhere for the team as he says wherever he plays he just wants to do a good “job for the team.”
Summer signing Lowe has had a frustrating start to his Port Vale career as he picked up an injury just before the start of the season. He admitted: “The timing of it was difficult. On a personal level it was frustrating. But it’s been and done.”
However, the veteran is happy to fill in wherever he’s asked to play. When asked about what he considered his best position is he answered “I don’t think anyone ever has 9nailed me down to one position)… just get me on the pitch, my whole career has always been about the man next to me and the team. If I’m asked to do a job for the team then I’ll try and do that as well as I possibly can.”
On what he can offer the Vale the veteran said he would : “Just get out there and give your all, that’s all you can possibly do.”
Lowe is also prepared to be a role model for some of the younger players saying his actions speak louder than words. He said he will “Show them the way that I believe will help them rather than talking. It is a responsibility I take on board, for sure! I want to help them as much as I can.”
Lowe says the side are keen to return to action after the International break adding: “I think it’s been a time to reflect a little bit and recharge that battery. Excited to get back going.”
