Loanee scores as Port Vale draw latest friendly game

Loan striker Oli Lynch earned Port Vale a draw as their friendly game against Bournemouth U21 ended 1-1 on Tuesday.

Jon Brady took the opportunity to give plenty of players a run out as his side included recent signing Kyle Dempsey and three trialists. There was also an hour run-out for loanee keeper Mason Terry.

Bournemouth took the lead in the 36th minutes from a header from a corner and that gave them a 1-0 half-time lead.

However, after numerous half-time changes, the Valiants equalised three minutes into the second-half when Lynch finished off a good move for his first goal in Vale colours.

Lynch came close to a second, fellow loanee Mo Faal also went close and Vale also had an appeal for a penalty turned down. Meanwhile, sub goalkeeper Jackson Smith pulled off a fine save to prevent Bournemouth retaking the lead.
