Port Vale have taken their summer signings tally to eight with the additions of Ethan Chislett and Jason Lowe.
AFC Wimbledon midfielder Ethan Chislett, 24, was offered a new contract by the Dons but has instead agreed a two-year deal with Vale. He spent three years with the London club and made 51 appearances last season, scoring 11 goals.
Lowe, 31, made 125 appearances for Salford City and scored the final spot-kick as they beat Portsmouth 4-2 on penalties to win the 2020 EFL Trophy. He has also agreed a two year deal with the Valiants.
Director of Football, David Flitcroft commented on the signing of Lowe saying: “Jason has a familiarity with the demands of a higher-level competition, which will undoubtedly benefit our players and enhance the overall performance on the pitch. Jason also brings invaluable leadership qualities that will positively influence our squad dynamics.”
Commenting on the addition of Chislett, manager Andy Crosby added: “Ethan is an exciting addition to our club. Ethan’s flair, creativity and ability to also find the back of the net from midfield makes him an incredible asset. With Ethan having previous experience in League One, he’s already been exposed to the demands of this league, brings valuable experience and will be significant for us. Additionally, his versatility and work rate off the ball make him an excellent fit for our playing style and team dynamics.”
