Former Valiants: non-league moves for ex-Vale players
Several more former Port Vale players have found clubs this summer including Richie Suton and AJ Leitch-Smith.
Nantwich sign Sutton and Leitch-Smith
Nantwich Town have signed former Vale duo Ritchie Sutton and AJ Leitch-Smith.
Sutton left Nantwich in 2010 to join the Valiants and now returns some twelve years later. He told the official website: ““It’s an absolute pleasure, being a local lad and living in the area, I’ve always followed their results since I left 12 years ago. I know some great people here, always kept in touch with the chairman and Dave, it feels good and the right thing to be back.”
Sutton will be joined by striker AJ Leitch-Smith who also signed for Nantwich this weekend. He said: ““It’s great to be here, I’ve been talking to the gaffer for a while so it’s great to get it done. It’s good to be based back in Cheshire agin, there’s a great set-up here so I’m looking forward to getting started.”
The pair will link up with Vale legend Andy Porter who is part of the Nantwich coaching team.
Glover added to growing Vale contingent at Hanley Town
Meanwhile the ranks of former Valiants at Hanley Town continues to grow with the addition of former Vale striker Danny Glover who signed for the club earlier this week. Glover joins the likes of Louis Dodds, Carl Dickinson and Ryan Campbell-Gordon.
