Promising goalkeeper Joe Anyon was stretchered off during Vale’s defeat to Chesterfield. The club later confirmed that Anyon had broken his leg. Vale physio John Bower told BBC Radio Stoke: “Definitely the season’s over for him. Realistically, he’s looking at about four months out.” We wish Joe a speedy recovery.
