  1. I’m not saying that at all am I. What do you mean what is there to worry about? We’re now left with nothing in midfield as our two best players have left (and in a very tough window to replace them) my big worry is I thought those two were carrying us and I think we will struggle without them and yes the two loan signings seem good but in the summer they will go back and we’re back to square one again. A mix is required, hence why I want a couple of permanent signings this month.
  2. Definitely but will he be the same now they have both left? I think it just leaves us in <ovf censored> place and probably worse than in the summer as now we have to deal without them. It’s great to see them down the vale but I just see how it progresses us unless we get one good season. Like Plymouth last year
  3. Loans. That is the issue. We’re not progressing. We can’t do this every window. Need some permanent signings.
  4. Personally I think we’re done if we’re having to play Lowe in midfield. We’ve looked hopeless whenever he’s been moved there. He’s a steady CB but we can’t have him in midfield
  5. Like Arblaster, I really wish him all the best. Think he got better strangely as we started struggle and thrived in that deeper role. Always gave his best and at times along with Ollie gave more effort than some of our own players. A real shame and think it leaves us seriously weak, but that is the risk with loans and as much as I love these quality young players coming here, it’s not exactly progressing us. We’re now lower mid table and have lost our two best players, we need some decent permanent signings and given this recall (and arblasters) was always on the cards from day 1, I expect DF to have some replacements lined up. And hopefully not more loans. Hope Alfie does well at Plymouth as they have had similar issues to us. Expect him to do well at that level
  6. If you can’t see the reason why some would be concerned then there really is no hope.
  7. You’re probably right and looking at his record everywhere would support this. For me I’m sure he played for Liverpool a few times when they were short of centre backs and did very well. I think talent wise he should be good enough for this level, his recent load sides would suggest this. I think it’s down to the lad himself and injuries (again) as to whether this one will work out for us. For me the only downside is like with Arblaster, Devine ect is that if he impresses he won’t be with us next season. He can’t be worse than Balmer like you say
  8. Think Rhys is going to be one that if he can stay fit and sort his attitude he will be very good. Swansea fans saying his attitude stunk with them - think that’s the only reason we’ve managed to get him as ability wise he should be more than good enough
  9. I’d like to see a couple of permanent signings now, I’m presuming closer to / on deadline day
  10. Looks a good signing to me, he’s definitely good enough, issue seems to be fitness / injuries (again) exactly what we need at the back though.
  11. Why? He was a liability. Even if we don’t replace him we’re better off. We obviously will replace him anyway
  12. Good news. Clearly not at this level, made big mistakes regularly
  13. Be a shame but expected. Plymouth lost all their loans. That is the issue with loan signings (if true)
  14. Excellent news if that’s the case. Klopp was on ssn recently saying he rates him
  15. Hannant wasn’t awful. He was an average league 2 player. Far from awful
  16. For me it’s a balancing act. You can’t sign a team of kids on loans and you can’t sign numerous players from non league at once. If the scouting is done correctly there are definitely players out there that kind make the step up
  17. Don’t think he was good enough personally. Ok off the bench looked off it for anything more. As MBE said I expect him to be off to league 2 on loan
  18. Two brilliant signings. But they need them, Carlisle fan was on the match thread saying they haven’t paid close to that for Armstrong
  19. Was thinking more recently with the likes of miller and angus (I’m for this signing by the way) exactly where I think we should be looking for players
  20. Carlisle doing everything to stay in the league. Sidibeh would clearly be a gamble and these haven’t paid off in the past, he is the kind of player I would want us to be after though.
  21. Exactly the kind of loans we should be going for imo
  22. Without Garrity he should do and if he’s out for a while then definitely. More depth anyway, garrity wont have to play 90 minutes every game
  23. Great signing for Oldham. He’s far too good for that level. Shame it’s not worked here as he was brilliant in our promotion season, think that injury has really hampered him. Thought he would end up in league 2 or with DC. Wish him all the best
