Seen folk demanding/expecting us to finish top 3, personally funded by Carol.

There’s probably going to be a lot of disappointment next season. This mess isn’t going to be fixed in the next 3 months.

Funded by the 5000 supporters who buy season tickets. Some L2 clubs can't even fit 5000 people into their poxy little grounds.

We've been told for two years that we can't compete with Derby, Pompey, Bolton, etc...

Now I expect us to be a big fish in a small pond, beating the likes of Colchester, Morecombe, Crawley, etc...

DM has until November to convince me. He's lucky to be given that chance, having been the worst manager I've ever seen at the club.

    No excuses!

  2. He was brought in with the task of avoiding relegation. He failed miserably!

Carol is backing him to rebuild.

I expect top 3 next season. No messing about. Top 3 budget. Bring in better players than other L2 clubs have. If we're not in the top three by the end of November, get rid and get a proper manager in, a manager who is tactically aware, shows passion and desire to win, can motivate players and speak in coherent sentences in interviews.

They are my expectations for L2. No excuses! Promotion, automatic promotion, we are Vale!

  3. I can't wait to see the released list and I also hope many of our under contract players are put on the transfer list.

Garrity, Chis and Ripley deserve to stay and be part of the squad. The young players will hopefully stay too.

I'd like to see Grant and Massey gone, two of the worst players to ever play for PVFC!

  4. She's backing DM and trusting him with the rebuild.

I'll be renewing our season tickets and watching closely how the squad rebuild takes place.

DM has a lot to prove. I'm sure everyone will back him and, let's face it, we all want him to be a success and have us challenging at the top end of the division.

  5. Straight choice:

Option A: Put trust in DM to build a squad capable of top 7 in L2 or

Option B: Get rid of DM and put someone else in place to do the squad rebuild.

If it was my decision, I'd get rid of DM and put someone else in. My target would be Ainsworth. He must be missing football by now!

I'll renew our season tickets and back the team, whoever is in charge. I hope Carol starts listening to better advice than she has for the past few years.

Started off probably with the words ....Yeah no.

    Pet hate of mine 🙃

    Yeah no, mine too.

We created chaaances first half and if we'd of took more of those chaaances first half then we'd have had a bigger lead going into the second half.

Erm, I'm not worried because so long as we keep creating chaaances then that's the main thing.

I hope and pray that DM resigns and we can get a new manager in for next season. He's awful, tactically clueless and has about as much charisma as a sloth.

His interviews could be prescribed for people who can't sleep! I'm guessing his half time team talk today had that effect on our team!

Still, as Carol says, I can't believe that little old Port Vale have got Darren Moore!

I genuinely believe that well be in a relegation fight again this time next year if he's in charge.

Yes, it's maybe a little bit unfair to judge him with this inept squad of players, but what I've witnessed this week is beyond worrying. His substitutions and tactical ineptitude over the last four games are there for all to see.

  7. I don't think anyone genuinely believed that we'd get anything from the game tonight, other than a heavy defeat!

3 0- it could have been better, it could have been worse. I still think we'll go down but Cheltenham, Burton, Cambridge and Shrewsbury are all as bad as us, so we've still got a chance!

  8. It would have been difficult to write other results better today! As usual, we fail to take our chances and fully capitalise.

We could have got within 3 points of Cambridge today. Still, a point away from home is ok.

The next three games/results for Cheltenham are huge for us. We need to keep in front of them!

Pray for a Posh Wembly win tomorrow after a long match that goes to extra time (as a few others have mentioned) and a rare Vale away win at their place on Wednesday!

I think that the realisation that we are up <ovf censored> creek without a paddle has actually hit a lot of fans now. It's very nearly all over but there's still a chink of light at the end of the tunnel, keep the faith folks we might just produce a minor miracle, who knows it is PVFC after all and we wouldn't have it any other way would we !! emoji23.png UTV.

I expected us to have 32 points by this point, so I'm actually quite pleased that we've got 39 points and we've got an outside chance of The Great Escape!

I'm not confident at all of a miracle, but a win on Saturday could inject so much confidence into everyone! We've already beaten them at Vale Park, with Gavin Massey putting in a very rare excellent 90 minutes against his former club.

We've got 6 points from the last possible 9. If we do that in the next three games, we'll still be in with a chance as we enter the final three games.

Come on Vale! Defy the odds and fight for the points and, above all, finish the chances and win some more games!

  10. Relegation isn't the end of the world. It's what happens next to rebuild that is important.

The "style of play" that's currently fashionable (playing out from the back) is only any good for teams with technically gifted players throughout the team.

Several of our excellent chances on Saturday came from Northampton trying to play out from the back and our hard-working players closing them down and robbing them of possession.

We all know that we rarely actually punish teams because we lack quality, but we gift teams marginally better than us with chance after chance after chance when we try and play that way.

I'd like to see a squad capable of playing 442 with wingers, 433 with a high press, 532 with wingbacks and 541 to frustrate opponents (especially away from home) I'll be honest, I don't really understand all theses other formations (3412, etc... and, more worryingly, neither do our players! 😂

Most importantly, I'd like to see a manager who can bring his own players in so he has a balanced squad of our own players (NOT loans) and who has the tactical nous to employ these different formations and tactics throughout the season and within games.

The quality and character of the players is vital. They can't continue be be selected off a database of stats.

It's probably obvious that I think we're heading down this season but, like us all, I'm still hoping and praying for a miracle!

  11. DM has got to get what he can from this shower of <ovf censored> assembled by DF and his process.

Come May, we need to get rid of most of these players. We can all see they're not good enough.

BUT we need DM to find a formula to get at least three more wins out of them! IF he can do that, then he's a good manager.

If he can't, we can't really judge him as he's only picked up DFs mess.

It's a miracle (in my opinion) that he's got two wins out of them! Two wins in ten, we now need at least three wins in six!

Like it or not, it's massive that both Cheltenham and Burton are still in the scrap with us for 20th. DC has 7 games left, MP 5 games, DM 6 games.

Arguably the best I've seen us play this season was home to Wigan. GM had a very rare good game. We need to win next Saturday to get the momentum back.

  12. Let's be honest, we deserve to go down. This league is the weakest it's been for years, and we're one of the weakest out of an incredibly weak lower half.

The fact that, after 40 games with less than a point per game, we still have a chance of staying up, says it all really.

I'll be renewing our season tickets now DF has gone, regardless of which league we're in, but lessons must be learned from the previous three transfer windows if next season is to be significantly better than this one.

  13. ⁸The losses to the majority of the bottom eight teams are why we're heading down. Assuming Carlisle and Fleetwoid are gone, it's two down from the three teams, Burton, us and Cheltenham.

We've still got a chance, but it's a very, very slim one indeed.

Six games left to finish 20th. We've got to win at least half our remaining six games- and even that might not be enough!

The damage was done over the previous three transfer windows.
