  1. We need a Neil Aspin type defender, an Andy Porter type central midfielder and a Ron Futcher type striker to coach Baylee Dipepa through the season.

Plus two full backs, so that Shorrock and Plant can compete for the more attacking roles.

Four or five additions, the right additions, could see us turn things around.

  2. The squad that season got relegated with 49 points! (Correct me if I'm wrong)

They would have beaten our current team without much problem. Reggie was awful, but his goal record makes Loft, Uche and Wilson look, collectively, an absolute shambles!

Last season mirrored the Bruno season in many ways but, unbelievably, we were worse this season. DM is, statistically, worse than Michael Brown as a manager for Port Vale! 🙈

  3. We were woefully under-prepared for last season and the transfer shenanigans were abysmal.

Olly A and, later, Alfie D, carried us through to Christmas.

I'm really looking forward to seeing who we bring in over the summer and who the pre-season friendlies are against.

I always enjoy Kidsgrove and, if I'm able to go, Newcastle. We clearly need six or seven friendly games, including L2, L1 and, hopefully, Championship opposition. 🤞

Seen folk demanding/expecting us to finish top 3, personally funded by Carol.

There’s probably going to be a lot of disappointment next season. This mess isn’t going to be fixed in the next 3 months.

Funded by the 5000 supporters who buy season tickets. Some L2 clubs can't even fit 5000 people into their poxy little grounds.

We've been told for two years that we can't compete with Derby, Pompey, Bolton, etc...

Now I expect us to be a big fish in a small pond, beating the likes of Colchester, Morecombe, Crawley, etc...

DM has until November to convince me. He's lucky to be given that chance, having been the worst manager I've ever seen at the club.

    No excuses!

  5. He was brought in with the task of avoiding relegation. He failed miserably!

Carol is backing him to rebuild.

I expect top 3 next season. No messing about. Top 3 budget. Bring in better players than other L2 clubs have. If we're not in the top three by the end of November, get rid and get a proper manager in, a manager who is tactically aware, shows passion and desire to win, can motivate players and speak in coherent sentences in interviews.

They are my expectations for L2. No excuses! Promotion, automatic promotion, we are Vale!

  6. I can't wait to see the released list and I also hope many of our under contract players are put on the transfer list.

Garrity, Chis and Ripley deserve to stay and be part of the squad. The young players will hopefully stay too.

I'd like to see Grant and Massey gone, two of the worst players to ever play for PVFC!

  7. She's backing DM and trusting him with the rebuild.

I'll be renewing our season tickets and watching closely how the squad rebuild takes place.

DM has a lot to prove. I'm sure everyone will back him and, let's face it, we all want him to be a success and have us challenging at the top end of the division.

  8. Straight choice:

Option A: Put trust in DM to build a squad capable of top 7 in L2 or

Option B: Get rid of DM and put someone else in place to do the squad rebuild.

If it was my decision, I'd get rid of DM and put someone else in. My target would be Ainsworth. He must be missing football by now!

I'll renew our season tickets and back the team, whoever is in charge. I hope Carol starts listening to better advice than she has for the past few years.

Started off probably with the words ....Yeah no.

    Pet hate of mine 🙃

    Yeah no, mine too.

We created chaaances first half and if we'd of took more of those chaaances first half then we'd have had a bigger lead going into the second half.

Erm, I'm not worried because so long as we keep creating chaaances then that's the main thing.

I hope and pray that DM resigns and we can get a new manager in for next season. He's awful, tactically clueless and has about as much charisma as a sloth.

His interviews could be prescribed for people who can't sleep! I'm guessing his half time team talk today had that effect on our team!

Still, as Carol says, I can't believe that little old Port Vale have got Darren Moore!

I genuinely believe that well be in a relegation fight again this time next year if he's in charge.

Yes, it's maybe a little bit unfair to judge him with this inept squad of players, but what I've witnessed this week is beyond worrying. His substitutions and tactical ineptitude over the last four games are there for all to see.
