Entitlement? Give over. Asking for the club to be funded to a reasonable degree to compete in the third division isn’t an inflated sense of entitlement. What do you think we are entitled to? League 2 football? Conference level stuff?  Sod that. May as well have stuck with Smurfwaite.

I don’t know why so many people try to compare the sacrifice of the average fan with what Carol has put in. She chose to buy the club, so the least she can do is stick some money in.

It is more realistically to compare it to buying the Rover group. All the workers at longbridge cheered on John Towers for saving the company. Just one problem, they had no money. So they couldn’t develop any new models and the one they did, the Cityrover, was rubbish nobody wanted to buy. Nobody wanted them, sales dwindled and the company went bust.

Carol is John Towers, our squad is the City Rover and our fans are the customers who will leave in droves. The rest writes itself.

It’s always the easiest thing in the world to spend someone else’s money. I’m sure Carol would appreciate it if you were to put £10k in. 👍

I would prefer to see a change of manager, but full credit to Crosby for the change of approach & playing the youngsters. (Also noted that we had 9 players out injured). I thought Smith was much better today & Debrah was poor, as he was playing on the left. We cannot keep playing right footed players on the left, main issue to be resolved in January. Main mistake Crosby made was taking off Wilson so early, which could have allowed Blackpool back into the game. The fans were not booing Loft in my opinion, but booing the substitution of our best player.

Firstly Wilson was blowing when subbed as he’s barely played. Knowing his previous injury record and the fact we were 2-0 up it was 100% the correct decision by AC - Imagine the stick he and the club would have got had he gone down injured a few minutes later.

Secondly, Wilson got have great round of applause when he left the pitch. When Loft’s name was announced a small but vocal minority in the Railway Stand booed him onto the pitch -  really poor ‘support’.

  3. Thought everyone put in a shift tonight and showed what is possible when we do. Thought Wilson, Devine and Shorrock were excellent and considering we are down to bare bones, it was one of our best performances of the season.

In general the crowd were also good bar the booing of Loft when he came on which to me is moronic. To be fair to him, he did put himself about and although he has a long way to go to convince me he’s worthy of a starting place, I wouldn’t boo the lad.

If the players bother to turn up and show half the passion and commitment of Oli we will be OK. Never over confident with Vale but just hope we can do something.

The ones who finished Tuesdays game certainly showed passion and commitment. Hopefully some of the fans can do likewise and collectively we may get something out of tonight’s game.

Why would you buy a ticket then leave after less than half the game? Even if you only stay to get your money's worth and/or let the players know how you feel, l just find going so early a bit odd.

As it happened they missed a decent game in the second half.

I think Brian Clough once said there’s two kinds of people who go to football matches, those who expect to be entertained and those who support the team. I don’t think Vale are unique in having both types and it’s usually obvious to tell which category people fall into.

Thought our support was brilliant today.

Right from the start of the second half as soon as we could see the players were going to put a shift in, the crowd really got behind the team

The support was great from the ones who stayed but I’d say at least 10% of home fans left at HT however, from an atmosphere viewpoint, they weren’t missed. Perhaps they went home to prepare their latest posts for OVF?

In times of adversity fans need to support the team. I’m no happy clapper who’ll give applause to that first half performance but neither will I boo my team.
The match stats are interesting that we had more possession, double the opposition’s shots and treble their corner count but Barnsley deserved their win as we were no near the levels required to win a match in the first half. Positives for me was the performances of the two youngsters who came on and Wilson’s performance.

I agree, but why did Crosby wait till we were 0-3 down before changing it, if he had changed it sooner, before it was too late, we’d have got a point today.Lomax did more than Massey has in the last 3 games, also beginning to think Ripley isn’t as good as he thinks he is, he never moved for the first goal.

Can’t disagree with much of that although the lads header for the first goal was really well placed. I was more disappointed with there not being a defender within 5 yards of him in our 6 yard box.
