Yes, The SC has a committee of around 12.

Back under V2001, we had a ‘sub board’ exactly like that described in that article. It consisted of a couple of original V2001 steering group members, 2 SC reps, a couple of VaST reps (I was one), a couple from the ex-players association and a couple of others. It later morphed into the Port Vale Volunteers’ Group, and I was secretary for several years.

It had some relative success actually, not least because it brought together fans’ groups that, at that time, had some awful relations with each other. The politics back in those days were horrendous.

Now, we only have the Supporters’ Club, that recently became a trust, then North London Valiants and Super Vale Abroad, that both have links with the SC. Thankfully there are no warring factions anymore amongst fans’ groups.

And the message that we are <ovf censored> and need improving quickly is well embedded into the club from same groups?

Watching the goal back I noticed it was loft who won the defensive header in the first place and was probably the furthest player from there goal at that point then within a few seconds the lad is flying past there entire team to link the breakaway up perfectly 👍

Just said the same. I think he won the tackle on the edge of our box too. Great effort.

What worries me is that we just become Crewe. Happy to sell all our kids, playing tippy happy football, in a 'nice family environment'. We used to take the pıss out of them for this. Vale should have a bit of grit and needle. Away managers always used to say 'Vale Park is a horrible place to go'. We're becoming far too nice and detached from what I see us as. Yes it's nice that we're getting kids and families in, but we should also be a bit rough and ready. We had the balance exactly right in the promotion season, as you saw with the Swindon game. This season we have strayed too far away from our working class, edgy, a bit nasty roots. Everything that comes out of the club is controlled. The interviews with Alfie and Blaster, all geared towards us being a nice and friendly. The Boro game typified this.

The move to the Hamil is part of this too. No mither, no abusive chants, we even clap injured players off rather than sing the funeral march.

Summarising what I posted before. Played 6, won 0, lost 3, drawn 3.  Sacked. Banned for 4 games for conduct offences. Time in charge 29 days.

Mitigation!! Deeney says he was sacked before his ban was announced.

Deeney scored 4 goals in 16 games. That includes a hat-trick v Notts County!

Why am I interested in his management results. I thought you dealt with fraud? In which case you'll have the common to know that his stats (goals) mean nothing.

I very vaguely remember him but I was 5. I probably should have included Billy Whitehurst on my list. He was strong a very strong man. I don't think Leonard was that prolific infront of goal but I could be wrong.

He had one really good game v Bristol Rovers on our first(?) Sunday game and even then his shot went through the goalie’s legs. 13 games 1 goal. Good player though.

Losing every week is part of the project, aye?

Why can't Pete Wild or Duff be part of that project? Why is it wedded to the inexperienced cheap option who's never managed before?

That sounds harsh and I don't like to write it, but ultimately it's true.

The following is what I wrote when they sacked DC. Was I right?

Doha. Completely the best post on the matter. I’m sure both would jump at the chance of managing us with such progressive owners and Duff in particular has a track record of delivering . I can only think of one manager in years who didn’t sound a decent bloke and that was Gannon. The rest all come over as nice, pleasant chaps, even Flitcroft does but if you were being paid decent money for being <ovf censored> then I guess we all would.
I’d back either of your suggestions but we need it doing now.
