A sports journalist writing Vale could sign a player isn't really a transfer rumour, is it?

There is nothing to link him to us. It's just some guy arguing why we could be interested.

Does this bloke actually know anything about Vale?

His Twitter says he's a Spurs fan and his "articles" include "Why Garrity could be used as a striker.." 🙄

Just been reading on football league World, weather Moore would go for Lee Gregory from Sheffield Wednesday as he's now a free agent.

Football League World is full of rumours and bullsh1t.

    Also Gregory is ex-Stoke

7 in 25 for Newport is a decent return for Bogle last season.

Just think he's what Uche should be - not prolific, but a big physical presence that chips in with the odd goal. Get someone with a bit of pace next to him and it could work.

Just out of interest for what reason?

DM himself at the meeting said we were looking at players from higher up,I aren't that convinced he would lie so for me we will be looking at them, will we get any well that's different

I think a lot of our budget is already taken up by the existing squad, and even if some leave its clear we've been tightening our belts since promotion. Granted there will be more room in the budget if the likes of Ojo, Garrity and Chislett leave, but any real good League One level players are going to want to stay in League One, unless we chuck silly money at them.

Anyone thinking we're in the race for the like of Bannan or Clarke-Harris needs a summer off!

  5. Can we not rewrite history over Benning?

He was poor in the first half of the promotion season to the extent he didn't start between October and February then came back in at Bradford when we went on a good run.

He was awful in the three games we lost that nearly cost us promotion and was dropped for the Exeter game until Hussey got injured.

He was far too lightweight for League One and we rightly showed him the door.

The issue was replacing him with someone better, which we didn't, and now it looks like he was the answer all along.

Just because Conor Grant has been crap doesn't make Benning good.

I know he has struggled with health issues and I aren't sure if he is over them or not but would Charlie Wyke be worth a punt for league 2 or Josh Magennis(more of an Uche type) both released by Wigan?

Stephen Humphrys also another forward released

I dont think we will be looking at released League One players somehow

Just seen the season ticket pricing. Does the owner really want to attract new supporters?

Three stages of purchase. Early bird, general sale and late general in August.

The prices in August at 400 quid plus!

You can't afford an St in May, can't afford in June or Juky

Pay more in August or  pay more on the day.

Come on Carol, make the club inclusive to people in the area who can't just pull Three hundred and fifty quid out the sofa. This is a poor area.

It doesn't matter how much money a fan has... Why penalise people if they cannot afford. This is what gets me about Carol Shanahan... Greed.

Are you actually Bill Bratt? If so why are you having a go at the current owner when, as a previous owner, you're in a position to offer constructive advice to her?

If you're not, why are you continually making posts that just seem like they're baiting other fans to give you an angry response?

I doubt really that there will be much movement before June but it would be nice to get an early one in to show we mean a bit of business this summer.

Can anyone remember when we actually made our first signing last summer?

Wasn't Sang our first signing last summer? And that wasn't until June? I might be wrong.

Is he a loon? His hair looks no wilder than that of the Granville in your avatar.

Yes, it is ironic that Carol said she'd do fewer interviews and then does one a few days later. It is also ironic that she says in the interview that she was upset by unfair and cruel negative comments online and you then start calling the interview a "wild haired loon".

Come on, you can't think this guy is a professional. I heard his show on Radio Stoke years ago, and it was dreadful. He also doesn't really know anything about the cub which is quite obvious "a historic day in Port Vale" like its an actual place.

Is it too much to ask this was done properly?

I have a lot of respect for Carol but I really get exasperated that she will say she's not doing something then does it anyway within a few days.

But gets called out if she’s completely silent 🤔

But if she's taking a back seat, take a back seat, don't do an interview if some wild haired loon comes up to you and asks you to do an interview about your 5 year anniversary of running the club.

At the very least she could have done something with the club, Mike Baggaley or Bowers before they went away

    This just looks awful.

What difference if they are all me .

Being torture been a Vale fan I've done nights last 16 years waking up early watch abjectness mainly .

It's left a sour taste in my mouth .

Be honest I thought Carol was the turning point along with Ian Donaldson, especially with the way things like the fanzone and score board were going both excellent innovative pluses for Vale but then the team. turned out and I thought they seem OK at first,  but gradually over season got worse and worse till they just become easy pickings to win against ,shame I'm.poorly at present ,as wouldn't have chance give Vale a thought over this pre season never mind be responding to a randomer about who I am or aren't.

I know who I am I am honest about what I see .

Folk do not like that maybe there corporate and are close to players I'm just a mere supporter who has watched Vale from every area other than hospitality over the years .

As of today unless I see players moved on I'll go back to watching occasionally like used to in league 2 maybe a  10 gamer ,as Tues nights are not for me they obviously ain't for the players as they proved time and time again over past 2 seasons .

Life is far too short waste time on wastes of spaces if you get my drift .

I've got no problem with you per se, but its the constant barracking of Nathan Smith, the belief in every rumour, however unlikely it might be, and this odd belief that passion will get us into the Championship that frustrates me.

Just try and chill and lay off Nathan Smith, it's been going on longer than a Leonard Cohen song.

Look at how Ipswich have bounced up 2 leagues .

    Team spirit 10

    Will to win 10

    Togetherness 10

Going out to win gamely 10

Vale follow there go for it tendencies .

Easy said than done but bad sides can be turned around by playing as a team not like a bunch of individuals .

    Vale this last season

    Team spirit3

    Will to win 3

    Togetherness 3

Going out to win gamely 2

We have to find the Ipswich formula and quick

And a budget about 10 times the size of ours and crowds 5 times bigger than ours.

Not everything is about passion, you need the ability to go with it.

Sadly our team has very little of either

He played 22 times for us in our last promotion season, rarely put a foot wrong that year. We aren't in league one anymore.

Like I say, we can't realistically get rid of everyone. If some have to stay, I don't think Jones is the worst player to keep around.

Not if you're a physio and want to be kept in work - he's ideal for that.

Jones 🤔 he’s never fit & a liability if he is. Get rid of the clown. I’d rather keep Yak over Jones. Just as clumsy but at least he’s available more. Wouldn’t be against Cass either in league 2 myself.

    Keeping Jones? Jesus Christ!!
