Yes someone else seen it
Not seen Plant make a tackle, probably ever.
He will not make a footballer. He is poor. He has energy and enthusiasm. Nothing else.
Cannot defend, Cannot create, Cannot score goals
He is a footballer. We pay to watch him!

You do like him don't you....a relative maybe?
Just a footballer who is and has been better than I could have dreamed of. And probably you. Same for any professional footballer. As you well know - many more fail than make it. Let alone for nearly 500 games.

That will be a pub player with 447 professional games and captained England at under 20 level. Thats the pub career I wished for when I was playing!

You know what, iv said a couple of times this week that if I wasnt out with the boys, id unboycott meself for this - So,.....anyway, typing this, I'm getting a bit teary eyed for Lofty - iv always supported the underdog, and I'm so so so pleased for the lad. He deserves every nice comment on here tonight to be emailed to him, to showewhat he means to us after today - shoot, im tearing up again - knew I should have stayed over in stafford ๐๐๐๐๐
See you all in the Hamil
And Lofty - we LUV YOUย ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐

Well said. Best game Smudgers had since Chrimbo
His best part was in the first half when he had ball smashed against his head from about a foot has he stooped to head it and it screamed out for a throw in. My daughter was in hysterics!!! Typified his brave battling performance.

I honestly think everyone thought heโd smashed it over. ย Nobody around me could believe it when the roof of the net bulged. ย Fantastic celebrations. ย Thatโs what football is all about.
Right behind it. No chance was he missing. Helped that he didn't have time to think. Unlike the first half miss.

Tom Pope is no longer a league 1 striker. He's not scoring regularly for Witton Albion.ย
Smith should never have been made captain and I think that's been detrimental to his game. He's not a natural leader.ย
For all his legendary status by my quick count off wikipedia he scored 47 goals in League 1 with 12 being the most in one season.

Are we in a better or worse position from when he started?

Forwards signed by comparable League 1 or League 2 clubs:
Burton: Jonathan Leko, Kyle Hudlin, Antwoine Hackford, Odemola Ola-Abebomi, Joe Hugill
Cambridge: Lyle Taylor, Macauley Bonne
Carlisle: Luke Armstrong, Georgie Kelly
Cheltneham: Matty Taylor, Joe Nuttall
Exeter: Mo Eisa, Millenic Alli
Fleetwood: Ronan Coughlan, Tommy Lonergan
Leyton Orient: Khayon Edwards
Lincoln: Joe Taylor
Wigan: Charlie Kelman
Wycombe: Richard Kone, Gideon Kodua, Bez Lubala
ย
How did all of these clubs manage to sign forwards, whilst we're crapping it with 40 minutes to go?
I've no doubt we'll bring someone in, but the second January in succession we're down to the wire.
Are any of them any good!

Spot on RZ. Look how well last summer and January went when we waited till the last knockings to "maximise the value available". I wonder what Matty Taylor or Mipo are up too these days.ย
Mipo is playing for Maritimo in Portugal.

I agree, but why did Crosby wait till we were 0-3 down before changing it, if he had changed it sooner, before it was too late, weโd have got a point today.Lomax did more than Massey has in the last 3 games, also beginning to think Ripley isnโt as good as he thinks he is, he never moved for the first goal.
No chance with that header. Placed it in

You've completely missed the point: Cambridge were plummeting because they were playing badly and not scoring goals. Harris has completely changed this with 10 goals in four games and just three against - with the same players who are, arguably, a poorer squad than ours. It's been a sea change in style and performance and shows what a change in manager will do. They ain't going back to their old ways, that's for certain.
So their place in your hierarchy of mediocrity is completely misplaced.ย
I haven't missed any point. I am just stating where we are at this point compared to other sides.

Er, please leave Cambridge out of this. Since they changed their manager, they have won three and drawn one of their last four games. A totally different team by all accounts with a proper manager in charge.ย
We've won 2 and drawn 1 out of our last 3. Just quoting the current league table. You might not like the football but thats where we are. Lots of times on here over the last couple of years there are people saying it is results that count - not performances. Can't pick and choose.

I think we're sleepwalking to a very slippery slope.
Or 7 in 21 like Charlton, Bristol, Cambridge and more than any team below us except Wigan!
