Can’t believe I’m saying this but my god are we missing big Uche! We were getting results just as he started to get upto speed & him & Wilson had formed a decent partnership. He occupies so many defenders with being such a nuisance it leaves massive spaces for the likes of Willo & Chislet to do their thing. He’s perfect for our attack minded players. We all know his footballing ability isn’t great & he won’t score many goals but he does have some really good assets that I feel we’re missing at the moment. I know we lost garrity & others to injury but our form has nosedived just as much if not more since he’s been in the treatment room

Massey did a post match interview a few weeks ago and he was saying how much they love playing with big Uche because even without goals, he brings so much to the team by taking two or three defenders with him, creating the space for his team mates.

I absolutely love watching him - I wouldn't say he brings the x-factor, but certainly brings the ?-factor as no-one including himself has a clue what he is going to do - massive, massive loss to our team at present.

    The plan:

(Made simple for <ovf censored> heads)

    Β

Running a football club with limited financial resources requires careful planning, strategic decision-making, and a focus on long term sustainability. Here are some key principles that such a club should consider lads:

    Β

    1. Financial prudence:The club should prioritize financial stability above short-term success. This means avoiding excessive spending on player wages and transfer fees that could lead to financial strain. Implementing strict budgeting and financial controls is essential to ensure that the club operates within its means.

    Β

    2. Investing in youth development: Developing a strong youth academy can be a cost-effective way to nurture homegrown talent and provide a pipeline of players for the first team. By investing in youth development programs, the club can reduce reliance on expensive transfers and build a strong foundation for the future.

    Β

    3. Scouting and recruitment: Instead of competing for high priced signings in the transfer market, the club should focus on scouting and recruiting talented players with potential. This requires a robust scouting network and a thorough analysis of player performance and potential. Signing players on free transfers or loan deals can also be a cost effective strategy.

    Β

    4. Maximizing revenue streams: While the club may not have the financial resources of larger clubs, it can still explore opportunities to maximize revenue streams. This could include increasing ticket sales through affordable pricing, securing sponsorship deals with local businesses and leveraging digital and merchandising opportunities to engage fan and generate additional income.

    Β

    5. Community engagement: Building strong ties with the local community can provide valuable support and resources for the club. This could involve hosting community events, engaging with local schools and youth organizations, and partnering with local busineses to promote the club and its activities. A loyal and engaged fan base can provide crucial support, both financially and emotionally, during challenging times.

    Β

    6. Long term planning: The club should adopt a strategic approach to planning, with clear short-term and long-term objectives. This includes setting realistic targets for on field performance, financial sustainability, and infrastructure development. By establishing a clear vision and direction, the club can make informed decisions that support its overall goals.

    Β

Overall, running a football club with limited financial resources requires a combination of prudent financial management, strategic planning, and a focus on building strong relationships with fans and the local comunity. By prioritizing sustainability and investin in the development of homegrown talent, such a club can overcome financial challenges and thrive in the long term etc etc etc.

I imagine this is what df is going for.Β

Lets put it simple, he isnt there yet.

    Β

    Thanks David 😍😍😍😍

He shouldn't have been allowed inside Port Vale. This one is on you David Flitcroft I'm afraid.

Mate, you just dropped this on your way to division one πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I identify as a fan of Port Vale Football Club......which no longer exists. We are now Port Vale Politically Woke lobbyist group, which happens to have a really <ovf censored> football team.

There are bigger issues in the world if we wanna go political as a club, gays, lesbians, nobody gives a damn anymore, this is so last century, it really boils my urine as slide to oblivion again.

So  are you going or not today mate? 😍😍😍😍😍

I have changed my mind, Carol out. I just read that today we are using a rainbow ball. How woke can we go. How pathetic when we have bigger concerns at the moment. I am now so totally psised off that I just give up. Fcku off Vale. We deserve to go down.Β  I am done.

Why is it pathetic? - They are awfully nice colours - Niece bought me an official prequal LQBGTQIA+ bobble hat last christmas, and I will be wearing it today - nowt wrong with it.

For clarification purposes, I identify as a Hoppers, am a heterosexual male, with a signed thank you card from Big Bertha after the successful completion of a two girl special session at Kellys Place - Thank you πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I dont get involved in all the woke stuff - we all are what we are, and as long as we arnt doing anyone any harm - then rock onΒ  - lifes too short (and so am I πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ)

And besides all that, it might help Lofty see the bloody thing when its coming near him

This is the crux of it but Vale fans don't need facts to choose their annual scapegoat. 3 ex players I speak to from different generations (60s, 80s and 2010s) have all said that they never recieved abuse of their own fans anywhere else but the Vale. One player who used to play for Stoke said he got booed when he scored! We are a different breed.Β

yep we certainly are - And I think this is part of the charm offensive coming out of DM and CEO mouths this week, its a desparate call to armsΒ

Iv only ever followed the Vale, it would be interesting to know from others what their fan bases are like.

In fairness I cant remember the vile abuse of any of our players in the late 80s and 90s - the glory years in effect - notable exception being poor Barry Siddall (Am I remembering correctly him taking off his goalie shirt to parade a stoke shirt underneath🀣🀣🀣🀣 ) Bury?

....if we are in fact skint, why the F are we employing a DoF on a fat salary? Perhaps, if that is the situation, we need to cut our cloth accordingly... and get rid of the DoF.

Thanks Seamus - quite like seeing my name in parenthesis, feel like it brings a certain gravitas to my posts - actually, it reminds me of when I was doing my mastersΒ  (and its not often I think about that load of cr@p πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ - they had to create a whole new level of fail bracket for me 🀣🀣🀣 a 4 wasnt anywhere near enough, ended up with a 72.7🫑🫑🫑🫑  )Β

Anyway, re your statement mucka, If it is the case, I totally agreeΒ πŸ‘πŸ‘

perhaps DF is giving the other 3 days for free to make up for the cuck ops he makes in the other 2  😍😍😍

  11. This is not a criticism of Auntie Carol in the slightest, however, when we are throwing mud at David Flitcroft and his lack of signings, when all said and done, we dont actually know what, if any budget he had available.

There is the scenario in an alternate universe where that DF is actually the non-fall guy for Carol, taking the majority of the flak when equally he has his own hands tied with a lack of funds.

Who knows, but out of all the scenarios put out there, I dont think this is that far fetched.

All I know is that if words were to come out of the club saying that we are skint, fans would be far more forgiving and a lot of those now not attending would probs come back into the fold

  12. Remember when we had a whip round to purchase Darren Beckford. Well if it cost say 100K to remove David Brent, how much would we be each willing to chip in.

One scenario - thats Β£25 each (price of one home ticket) if 4000 fans divvied upΒ

or if Devine Intervention is doing the maths, its 7,000,000 fans paying Β£945,482 and 3p each πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘(playing in a 2 6 4 7 formation, with Smudger in goal)

  14. I will hold my hands up and admit I didn't renew this season due to being buggered about summat rotten with the move from the Bycars to the Hamil (and I was really looking forward to it) - utter farce worthy of Frank Spencer.Β

For me now, and I resonate with some of the other comments, in terms of buying back in with a ST for next season, it comes down to two separate issues:

    1. having had a year of being able to pick and choose what I want to do on a Saturday afternoon, it comes down to entertainment - Im sick of watching utter utter utter drivel on the pitch.

    2. being fed up with utter bull in terms of press releases, DOF comedy sketches (oh, sorry, I mean Fan Forums) and "naughty boy" letters off the owner (WTF was she thinking).Β

Number 1 on its own I could probs cope with (it is the the vale after all)

Number 2 on its own I could probs cope with (after all we have had some bigger Bell@nds in the past)

Number 1 coupled with number 2, you know what, I will pass thank you very much

The vale have been my team since 1978, but next season Leek Town are getting my money - its a really sad state of affairs - If people have made it through the Smurthwaite era, but are now voting with their feet - something must be REALLY wrong.

And for the record, I love each and every one of you beautiful bouncing valiants (even that noisy beggar Corban πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰)
