First player I'd be looking at would be Fankaty Dabo. Exactly what we need in a quick RB/RWB. Did brilliant at Coventry but missed the penalty to get them into the Prem. Was released and signed by FGR and was basically bullied by Troy Deeney. Obviously that penalty miss got to him but a very good player if we could get his head right.
Can he play left back ? As that’s where Moore will play him ?

Rock, if anyone was coming in they’d quite rightly want at least 51%.
Can’t argue with that , I was musing on things . For me I like to keep Carol but she’s got a few decisions to make re the club and investments

I think Darren Moore will have an exit clause in his contract if Vale get relegated. This wasn't his team, he is an ambitious and fairly successful manager and I just can't see him wanting to manage a L2 club.
I heard that yesterday in valiant suite

Good post Joe.
Part I don't agree with is the weakness of the league. I get that Stockport and Wrexham have bypassed us. But there are always flies in the ointment and surprises.
Who'd of called Orient as Champions and Stevenage runners up last season.
You only have to look at our friends from Swindon since the play off semi to see how it can go.
I sadly anticipate a minimum of 5 years again meandering around before we are back. It's the Vale cycle.
By which time another 5 years of my life has passed and I'm in my 60's.
Success next season seems a forlorn hope to me with this sad bunch of losers. I hope I'm wrong obviously but weaker league or not there are still plenty of candidates to go up.
Cheltenham,MK Dons , Doncaster who are ending the season tremendously. We need another reset which will cost a packet.
I don't want to turn up in August with Jones,Lowe,Massey,Loft, Debrah,Grant etc still at the club .
It galling to say this But jones , Loft, Grant , Sang , OJO , the Yak , Smith , Ben G , Ripley and Chislett are all under contract next season , Bar Ben G or Chislett I can’t see anyone who is saleable

Don’t think Sproson would be a recruitment answer- not been overly impressed with the ones Vale have taken with him as agent. Plus he works in the first interests as agent for his players not Vale.
Mate I can’t disagree, it’s just musing this morning on how to move forward , but one thing for sure this malaise from Carol can’t go on .

Carol's Vale like all of us .
She be hurting too.
However thats no excuse what's gone on its being a ludicrous season .
No strikers been brought in has ultimately cost us and not bringing in a leader at the back ,that's recruitment's fault and worst still bringing no lwb back in .
It's done now she needs come and explain why and what's up with the players after all she said they were phenomenal.
That second half yesterday was symbolic of the whole car crash of the season .
If I was in charge I'd be fuming.
She's in charge let's see some leadership now .
What she does next is very important
There's a lot of support who have stopped attending and that's down to the people you employ .
At synthetics would you accept the mediocrity the players produced second half
No you wouldn't so why should 6300 odd home support ,be accepting of what those players did to our support yesterday but not just yesterday ,since 2023 Jan some of them ,why are they even still here maybe you can answer that cause I'd have <ovf censored> them all off
Sort it Carol and learn that everybody has to give everything for Vale win a game of football .
The vale need a unifying force one who can stop this self harm , advise Carol on football matters and produce the players with Moore. I don’t think a DOF is needed but a recruitment specialist is , for me it’s Foyle or Sproson . Both have excellent contacts throughout football, however. In addition some ex players need to be ambassadors with the fans , I suggest Legge and Pope . Money wise good knows if Carol can sink anymore in , so maybe Donaldson takes 49% —and they split funding. This is just my ramblings , but my good something got to change both on and off the pitch

We now have the biggest and best scoreboard in league 2 talk about being championship ready

The club has relegated its self by letting Flitcroft loose with the family silver, whom in turn went after gold, found dog poo and spent the families fortune .
We are in mess and unless someone takes charge of the recruitment we will be in the national league in 25/26, playing Tamworth.

Honestly if we keep most of these players Carol we be chair of a National League club
-
Horrible to watch and disappointing, set up for 0-0from the kick off that’s not the vale way . Saying that the club has really shot its self in the foot this season , slipshod recruitment, inexperienced manager and lack of budget and ambition. Think if we don’t win Saturday we are down .

He’s our best player technically no question, however he is made of glass and spend most of the season on treatment table . Time to say thanks James sadly if we stay in league 1 , however if we go down I’d keep him as the 4th forward , 30 minutes off the bench every week .

There was a time when everyone stood up and you didn't have square eyes behind you moaning to sit the fck down!
62 two knackered knees I try and stand up for 45 minutes each half and i epically fail , good luck to youngsters who can manage the full 90 but I won’t moan as it ruins other people’s enjoyment.

Carol statement
in Port Vale present
Posted
Words are cheap and we have heard crap like this from Carol before . I rather we had some honesty eg I couldn’t afford a new striker in January as the club is loosing £65k a week and I needed to address that or I trusted the Fraud to deliver and gave him full control that was my mistake. However it changes nothing at all we are down and we shouldn’t have been anywhere near given the cash we have spent .
