how can we give two goal loft a contract as he is awful and his contract should be paid up and got rid of likewise to jones and sang and even smith and ojo have been awful all season
I agree on all except Sang who had a whole season being shoehorned in right back / wing back /centre half and he a midfielder. He deserves at chance in midfield as he done what’s asked of him in a strange positions

I agree and that's what Vale fans do.
If it was up to Vale fans, our team next season should be:
Manager: Andy Crosby
DOF: Tom Pope
First team Squad would include: James Wilson, Uche Ikpeazu, David Worrell, Ellis Harrison, Kian Harratt, Matty Taylor
And the rest of squad just made up of players that we have tried to sign for the past couple of seasons
Tom Pope as DOF is like leaving Hannibal Lectre in charge of kidney transplants

We are league 2 based on the league we will be in next season 😱
This squad we had was a league one mid table squad with additions of 2 Full/wing backs and 2 decent strikers .
For me as we all know we had kids and central midfielders playing at full back and making a right hash of it , forwards who were either not fit or couldn’t hit a barn door .
This whole sorry mess is at the owners door and only they can change it . Big summer dealings on they way and I think 2 marquee forwards is a must to drive season ticket sales , I believe that’s the only way to change the apathy around Vale Park.
if Moore Stays I believe he’s going to be given a top 6 budget , I just hope he recruits wisely

Sang and Grant can put a good cross in the box (about all they are good at), trouble is that we have Uche and Loft who are useless. Both would be a ,or more effective if we had a Tom Pope style of forward who knew where to position himself and was good in the air.
Dare I say Harrison …..

Anyway back on track,I am still confident that DM will be able to attract a better calibre of player than Crosby could well Flitcroft
I don’t honestly know given the club’s tarnished reputation of signing nice people not good footballers

Be nice to think they had some fight in them but I doubt it. Suspect can give it the same credibility as the Wilson and Harrison rumoured fight from a year ago.
Is the same source

Will be nonsense.
No fight in this group of players. we've seen that for 8 months.
I think so but Ripley and Gaz was well upset after . Usual crap I guess

I see rumours are doing the rounds that there was a ruck with the playes in dressing room and it blew over on the team coach . It on twitter if true it’s worry or not?

Moore knew before he came we were more than likely be league 2 bound given the unbalanced squad DF had recruited , but he tried to squeeze what he could out if squad but they let us all down. Ben G had to play holding midfield and he’s not as effective at that as he’s as an attacking midfielder, it not more not getting anything out of him but his role changed , chissy is a luxury who blows hot and cold . I believe if Moore is here the squad will be so different and hopefully we will of signed a strikers who know where goal is . Loft no issue with him being 4th striker in a league 2 side .

Hi Barry. Come and help me start the Port Vale rebuild.
Just the 22 grand a week pay drop. You'll be fine.
Let's scratch him from our forums and await new ridiculous suggestions .
More chance of getting Devine back than Bannan and neither will happen

I've made a promise to myself not to check this thread several times per week over the course of the summer! I'm going to take a complete break from all things Vale over the summer & reset for next season.
My hopes for the summer, we somehow manage to keep hold of Garrity & Chislett. Ripley sticks around for another season. We sign a completely new squad including strikers & actual wing backs. The young lads stick about for another year. I'm sure lots of that stuff won't happen, but let's see.
Have a great summer everybody & see you on the other side! Try to stick with the club. We're all Vale aren't we. 😊
My thought is would Darren Moore come to vale if we weren’t going to have a competitive league budget tied in to his 5 year contract? We taken a risk with Moore , but Moore professionally has take a huge risk taking a league 2 bound club on . I expect the budget to be top 6

I refer you to a film... The damned united.
Nothing to do with the owner. BB tryed to sort out what were personality clashes and power games in the dressing room.
Are you going to blame BB for for everything which happened negatively between 2000 to 2011...but not give any credit for what results did go right? At least the club went through a very dark ocean full of icebergs.. And BB steered the club clear of them... Credit where credits due.
Bull if was up to me you would be in prison as you are a cheap crook

Agreed - but not everybody is Flitcroft. The years of going back to the well of who knows the Vale went well for us with Foyle, Glover and Aspin, didn’t they.
Heaven forbid we start listening to gobshite Pope as well and bring in Richard Duffy when DM gets gone.
Pope was a great player but he knows nothing about management. It a bit like Ian Botham who know deck all about team selection and tactics , but was a magnificent instinctive player . Mind Tom Pope and Legge should be involved with the fans as ambassadors .

That apology letter has been prepared for the last month and bet the CEO has done the check on it and amended it, as there was only going to be one outcome. Surprised she didn't get in that the fans were naughty fans for making her sack/move on Fraudcroft and relegation is our fault really.
Lessons learned - may be buy 2 strikers that can last more than a couple of games. Failed that one after the first 2 transfer windows. Failed this seasons transfer windows. Players that are up to the job and not the cheapest option.
That said good luck in the preparing for 2nd Div football, hope you get things sorted and we can start the climb out of this division the right end of it. Will not be easy due to the clubs here. Big club - no we are not. We are just another club in the div. Carol needs to listen to free advice from those who have been in football a long time. Sproson could be a good start as he seemed mighty upset by the last 2 season on saturday.
Carol - you still have some credits in the bank for what you and family did. However, a lot of them have been cashed in over the past 2 years and the letter saying the fans were being naughty. When you look at it overall, think the fans sussed Fraudcroft out, when certain people were still taken in by his presentations and jargon. Not saying some of the things he achieved were all bad, but when it came down to recruitment and that was the important one - totally wrong most of the time.
I agree about sproson , he’s actually gutted we gone down . But he knows football inside out , think he make an excellent sounding board for her and Matt

Wasn't he on berserk money in League one ?
No way he's dropping to League 2 at his age.
Be another Dwight Gayle scenario with people believing we have a chance.
I don’t think he will be at Vale given his wages deffo Wrexham bound

Listening to Barry Bannan after the Sheffield Wednesday game on Sky, it sounds like he’ll be off from there at the end of the season. 34, but with young legs in midfield round him, would be useful if his fitness was controlled. The Moore connection might help.
Bit of a long shot However Bannan is on record saying Moore is the best manager he’s played for , I’m trying to find the BBC radio Sheffield interview when he expressed it , when I do I will post it . But for now

Do we keep Chislett or sell him? Charlton story on him or agent already at work?
Sent from my SM-A715F using onevalefan mobile app
Agent I’m guessing as they can’t do nothing till June , but if he goes we will get a fee

I said in another thread how i would love to see us bring in a striker like Michael Smith/Lee Gregory(obviously the wages would need to be decent) but an experienced striker like either of those would score at League 2 level.... like Matt Smith did/does at Salford
Pie in the sky i know but we will see soon enough i guess
Stevens from FGR has just gone out of the league and his contract is up his record below , what do you guys think

Words are cheap and we have heard crap like this from Carol before . I rather we had some honesty eg I couldn’t afford a new striker in January as the club is loosing £65k a week and I needed to address that or I trusted the Fraud to deliver and gave him full control that was my mistake. However it changes nothing at all we are down and we shouldn’t have been anywhere near given the cash we have spent .

All season teams have doubled up on our left and right backs /wing backs and that’s 50% of reason why we went down . Every team knew it was open season around the edges , they addressed it and we never did . It harsh as the only person under the bus for this Is Flitcroft as everyone who plays football knows fullbacks are probably the most important position on the pitch.
