    Like many others on here, my hope has turned into acceptance that we are going down. Lots of questions to be answered during the post mortem. Whatever happens, I just hope we are challenging in league 2 next season, as it really is a shiter watching your team lose every week. I can’t wait for the end of this season, it’s a really hard watch 😔

    Do you think there is any way back? I.e if DF builds a team that wins promotion straight back to league 1 using Carol’s new found wealth? Also, any names to replace DF as DOF?

    I’m not particularly trying to defend DF, but do we agree it’s a budget problem? Surely any decent league 1 player will come Vale if we pay them enough?

They will still be there running it and being invested financially in it.

    While they may well have sold shares for cash, there isn't a cheque in the drop box in Natwest in Newcastle high St with £180m written on it made out to her and Kevin, fans need to be realistic.

    I’m led to believe it will be sold, but Carol will remain on the board.

Get them up the pitch you can’t have a team defending a lead for 50 mins when you come out after half time mate. Awful management honestly, we can’t defend as it is even though the Lopata & yak were superb tonight it was always coming. 2-0 up at half time that was our chance to save our season & we blew it 

    We are all hurting, but we have to keep the faith. Lots of points to play for, so let’s keep fighting until we are mathematically down 💪

    He got Micky in to ‘buy’ (doubt he ever paid a penny) shares in order to stop a vote of no confidence, so he could continue the glamour of owning a football club. He might have started with good intentions, but it quickly went to his head. 

    V2001 was only ever supposed to be a vehicle to keep the ownership out of Icelandic hands (who planned to merge Vale and Stoke) and then to pass to someone who had money to take us forward. Unfortunately Bratty loved the limelight too much, to the detriment of Port Vale.

    And who do you think is waiting in the wings to throw away tens of millions? Won’t matter anyway, as you will just peddle your own silly agenda of calling for everyone to be sacked. 

    I think some Vale fans calling for Carol to sell up should start listening to the Price of Football podcast - you quickly realise what a perilous financial state English football is in and to be careful what you wish for.

    I would try this team (if fit)

     Clark  Derbra  Lopata  Jones

                   Ojo      Garrity 

    Massey       Chislett      Mighten

                            Loft 


    I know Massey probably doesn’t deserve a start, but I’d give him a last chance in his favoured position and see if can link up with Clark. I also think we need Garrity’s engine and bite in the middle to try and stop teams cutting through us like a knife through hot butter. In terms of forward options, I think Loft gives us more of physical presence, with Wilson to come on.

    We already have two target men in Uche and Loft, so can’t see us bringing another one in. The one we bring in needs to be quick and have an eye for goal.
