  1. Last one for me mate. Quite often see you on railway platforms up and down the land.
Self imposed hiatus until August when hopefully I'll regain my mojo .

Can’t say I blame you mate, think we’re still going put ourselves through the agony of Wigan and Bolton after Burton, though will be lucky to see 90mins combined from those last 2 games 🤣

  2. The Hudds fans were right

It looks that way from our 2nd half showing. Worst half of football I’ve seen all season from Vale (I left Barnsley at 4-0 so didn’t see the whole half). We were dire away at Fleetwood but that 2nd half was on another level.

  3. Mate one or two on here know me. I go everywhere, mainly on train.
I've been night games at the likes of Sunderland and Brighton. Been to some awful places. Halifax with about 1500 there , Sutton etc.
And as a club we are far better off than when I used to trudge to Halifax and Rochdale..
However this current lot have sucked the enthusiasm out of me. It's a chore to go. I don't enjoy it at all.
Not about the winning either as the Charlton 3-3 was excellent entertainment.
I really don't enjoy it. Find them a really dislikeable bunch with the odd exception.
I can spend up to 150 quid on an away game. Reading was 63 train and I think 27 ticket before I'd even supped my first 7 quid pint.
Hopefully I'll feel differently soon but I'm completely apathetic towards it. Don't think I'm alone either sadly.

Definitely not alone mate. I’ll be going Derby as the wife is coming for a day out (not the match though) and I reckon I’ll be back in the pub with her by 4pm at the latest. I thought the players would have shown some fight and passion at Cheltenham to try and impress the new gaffer, but there was none on show whatsoever, yet again. Agree with you totally in that it’s not the results but the performances. I’d much rather see a 3-2 defeat like the Ipswich home game a couple of seasons back than the 3-2 defeat at Cheltenham. Same result but the performances were a world apart.

  4. What I'm finding odd about the current situation ( and I'm amongst the dissenters ) is that things were worse under Bruno and Brown yet I didn't feel this angry then as I do now.
Wasters like Sam Kelly, Michael Tonge, Ryan Taylor. Some utter dross particularly under Brown arguably the worst Vale manager ever .
But I feel more angst and disaffection towards the club than back then yet we are in a higher division.
Odd really considering but I'm so apathetic towards this bunch.

Probably because you know that this squad is capable of so much more but for whatever reason are not performing consistently to the standard they are capable of.

  5. The DoF manages the football side of things, where the owners are lacking in knowledge, although there must come a time where they have acquired enough knowledge, but most importantly having a DoF allows the owners to carry on with their other business interests and charitable work.  Nowt wrong with that.
Fair to say that when things aren’t going so well there isn’t much cream for the DoF to reap.

Isn’t that what Colin Garlick did? I don’t know enough about it, so could be wrong
