Port Vale manager Jon Brady said it was “pleasing” to get a 1-0 home victory over Rotherham United.
The Valiants won 1-0 thanks to a goal from returning midfielder Ryan Croasdale.

Speaking after the game, Brady told the media: “We were really good here against Bolton two weeks ago. We are an inconsistent side but we haven’t got a goalscorer who has consistently scored to take the pressure off for us. It is just pleasing overall to get the win.
“Massive appreciation (for the fans). We can’t thank them enough. They travel in their numbers and, after Saturday, we tried to reward them with a win tonight.
“I was really proud of the boys to bounce back tonight. They showed they are still fighting.
“It is hard, it is very hard. Now seven games in 19 days, I am not sure if that has ever happened in the EFL before. We are just going to have to navigate that.”
