Port Vale added combative midfielder Ryan Croasdale as their second signing of the summer of 2024. Croasdale had been part of Stockport County’s promotion winning side the previous season and had tallied nearly 350 games prior to joining the Valiants.

Manager Darren Moore commented: “He is a team player that sets the highest standards for himself and having experienced promotion with Stockport County last season, there’s no doubt that he will add depth and experience to our midfield unit. We have fought off a lot of clubs, noticeable clubs, including some at League One level to secure his services and we are all looking forward to welcoming Ryan to Vale Park.”

The midfielder had a highly successful first season winning promotion and being named the club’s player of the year. His second season was affected by injury but he remained a key performer when fit.
