Port Vale have announced the signing of goalkeeper Nathan Broom as cover while Connor Ripley is on paternity leave.
Broom is an England youth international who joined Swansea City in August 2023 from AFC Wimbledon. The keeper made 13 appearances across all competitions for the League Two side.
Manager Darren Moore said: “Nathan is a goalkeeper with huge potential who already has experience in and around this level. He will come in and immediately provide important competition for the goalkeeper position in Connor’s absence.
“Once Connor returns to the club from his paternity leave, he will take a number of weeks to get back to what we deem as match-ready, so having Nathan with us will prove vital for us as we progress into the second half of the campaign.”

A New Broom in , in a area where I has said 4b we r Light. .
Good cover loan Signing as beyond Ben Amos we only had Youth team cover. Manager seems to have good connections at levels above us. Best wishes to Connor Ripley and family.
good luck to Connor Ripley on his paternity leave but great to see a new signing
Although not stated here, I think Nathan Broome is the ex Stoke City keeper who showed great potential in their Youth Team.
