Smurthwaite on Vale Park valuation and ground improvements

Further posts in the OVF forum from Chairman Norman Smurthwaite have claimed that the Vale Park stadium is valued at £9m.

In a post on the OVF forum the chairman commented: “Vale Park in 2015 was valued at £9m [and] the rent from the Vale Park Enterprise Centre alone is circa £90,000 per annum.”

It will take about £260,000 to finish the Lorne Street stand…

In an additional reply he clarified that “the Vale Park valuation was as a stadium the land value for houses etc was less.”

Smurthwaite also put a value on the completion of the Lorne Street stand adding that: “It will take about £260,000 to finish the Lorne Street stand.”

He also outlined other costs saying that: “£60,000 is being spent on [Railway] Stand toilets and it will cost £200,000 for new concourse/pub for the Railway [Paddock].”
