PVFC Limited given winding-up order
To some surprise from fans, it has been revealed that HMRC have issued a winding-up order against a company apparently associated with Port Vale football club.
HMRC winding up orders are usually published in the The Gazette official public record and a notice, dated 2nd July 2014, on their website states:
Winding up orders are normally initiated by HMRC when a company does not pay, or contact them within seven days about settling its debt, If that is the case then HMRC will start the legal process immediately.
Whether this is a case of Vale being late settling bills, in which case this will be an acute embarrassment, or something more serious is still unclear.
