Foyle misses out on monthly award
Martin Foyle was nearly rewarded for his efforts in February after he missed out on being named the League One manager of the month for February.
It would have been Foyle’s first managerial award since becoming Port Vale boss in February 2004.
Vale had won three, drawn one and lost two games in February.
However, the award went to Brentford boss Martin Allen. The Bees recorded three consecutive league wins over Walsall, Bristol City and Southend, although they lost to Vale and drew with Doncaster.
The other contenders were Doncaster’s Dave Penney and Huddersfield’s Peter Jackson.||
