What a statement that is all that is needed is carol to get her head in the right place and get rid of the man who is sending us up the river without a paddle. As for EL PRESIDENTE through all the years of my family we have spent more money on the vale than him so do not hold your breath about Robbie Williams. I am proud to be a supporter of the vale family my father for 83 years myself for 75 years my son and daughter for 44 and 51 years my two grandchildren 14 and 22 years .Being a vale in stoke on trent has been hard to swallow at times we are loyal till the end that is DNA that sticks to us all for life.Good and bad times there have been some shocking decisions made i will give you just two sacking the the icon of port vale which is and always will be for me that is Roy Sproson, and doing the same to John Rudge the two men who gave us great pleasure watching the vale play. Now what have we got today THE PROCESS trying to make Smith play like Beckenbaur it will never happen playing people out of positions buying players who are gutless and totally short of abilty to play pro football.

Hang on....I know we are a poor unit now but not many of those 79/80 would play in league 1.
I would say that 9 of that squad could play in league 1 easy

Look at some of these players - Much better than many we have now. Imagine Bernie Wright in this team!!! The Chamberlains, Phil Sproson, Ged Keenan, Peter Farrell, Kenny Beech, Neil Griffiths and of course Tony Sealy. I enjoyed watching this team more than the shambles now. We would currently struggle in non league with the current debacle of a side. I enjoyed these characters much more than the 'weak' majority we have now.
1979-80 season squad
Sqd From Player Kenny Beech Midfielder Bill Bentley Left back Paul Bowles Central defender Russell Bromage Left back Mark Chamberlain Midfielder Neville Chamberlain Forward John Connaughton Goalkeeper Trevor Dance Goalkeeper Bob Delgado Central defender Ian Elsby Midfielder/Defender Peter Farrell Midfielder John Fleming Midfielder Neil Griffiths Full back Lee Harwood Central defender Graham Hawkins Central defender Felix Healy Midfielder Steve Jones Midfielder Gerry Keenan Full back Billy Leese Central defender Terry Owen Forward/Winger Tony Sealy Forward Phil Sproson Central defender Ged Stenson Midfielder Ken Todd Midfielder Kevin Tully Winger Alan Woolfall Winger Bernie Wright Bob Delgado, Ged Stenson, and Kenny Todd would fit in our squad perfectly at the moment.I think Flitcroft would make them the cornerstone of our team.

All the people who attended the meeting don’t listen to the crap that’s wrote on here
Every genuine fan knows they can trust u to try and get carol to see the damage that DF has caused
Think you might be banging your head against a brick wall on that one.

Does it though?
I can't begin to speak for that community. But does having a rainbow ball send out any real message?
If anything it's almost patronising.
I just hope there is a bell in it so our forwards know its coming.

I will certainly renew mine and the wives season ticket next season because it will always be my club.It will be my 70th season next year i have seen some brilliant teams playing in the black and white and black and amber of the vale iv also seen a lot of dross on the vale park pitch. But if the vale retain Massey and Wilson i will be like them carn't be arsed to turn up.

If Flitcroft was at the vale on tuesday night to my mind he is a coward and a charlatan he sacked David Dunn that afternoon who must have refused take that team out onto vale park.So that left the only man at the club who has managerial experience was himself He decides how we play formations not sure but he must have picked that team but being the kind of man he is he hung 3 academy coaches out to dry.Not only that he hung a 16yr lad out aswell and if true instead of sitting in the ivory tower with Patrick he should have had the guts to take his responsability and been in the dug out to lead the bloody mess that he has created on vale parks pitch.

He's definitely over-rated by some Vale fans, and it's obvious by now that he's just incapable of staying fit for any decent amount of time which almost makes him a liability. But he's obviously levels above both Loft and Ikpeazu, who are both utter <ovf censored>. Loft in-particular has to be one of the worst strikers I've ever seen pull on a Port Vale shirt. Even worse than Kyle Perry.
John Frogatt and Kenny Todd come to my mind and that useless article who played for stoke.

I do agree about Wild and if it came to it he is the one i would go for,as for Harris i have never really rated him but he has certainly changed things for the better at Cambridge
It could be worse we could have Wayne Rooney in charge.

I see in his post match last night evans said he had a coffee and a long chat with Carol before the game?
As long as she did not buy his meal that would have cost us a fortune.

I remember on the old lorne street as a young lad sitting on bar with my father behind me and Reg Potts cleared the ball and it hit me in the chest and knocked me backwards luckily my father caught me.Then years later went Torquay just standing watching the vale warm up and Taylor another left back hit this ball and hit me straight in the face at least i got his shirt after the match for my grandson.I only hope if it comes in three's the next time it will be a Gavin Massey shot cause i know that will not hurt.

I've seen the great name of John Rudge invoked/soiled to defend the name of every bad manager we have. We need to stop. Folk were saying it about Sinnott and Michael Brown when they got us relegated. It's disrespectful to the great man.
A once in a lifetime manager having a dodgy first season nearly 40 years ago cannot be justification for giving obviously inadequate managers more time in a completely different footballing world. Stop, please.
Look at the individual merits/flaws of Crosby and make your judgement there. Don't just fall back on, 'well, Rudgie had a bad season, ergo you cannot sack managers'.
Excuse me i am not soiling Rudge at all just stating a fact i thank John Rudge for what he did for the vale in the long run always will but if it was not for Kevin Finneys goal against macc the whole Rudge story would never have happened. all i am saying just have a little patience and give Crosby the time he needs and deserves .

I do get behind the team. I’ll still be there Tuesday. Doesn’t change the fact we’ve got a clueless manager at the helm. We won’t beat derby because we are utter garbage. Not saying I want ainsworth but he took Wycombe to the championship. What’s Crosby done?
what did John Rudge do in his first season now we are building a statue for him give him time we are playing some of the best football i have seen at vale park in my lifetime. We all know what we want but the Andy Jones Bert Llewellyns Roy Sprosons and Dean Glovers of this world do not grow on trees they cost a lot of money jumping on the bandwagon of get him out will not help time will be patient we will get there.

No chance we’ll beat Derby. It’s about to be no wins in 11. Truly diabolical
It's just part and parcel of being a vale fan for nearly 70 years now listening and hearing so called fans moaning just get behind the team. Why carn't we beat Derby we beat them last year we beat them in the cup years ago when they were supposed to be a good side have some faith for gods sake.We will finish mid table this year with crosby in charge people say bring Ainsworth in as manager he has just had the bloody sack his teams play horrible football if you want that so be it we have had a lot of managers who have played like that in my time of watching my club no more please.j

He's a very good manager already started a mini revival at Cheltenham.
The mini revival will come crashing down this Saturday.

But to keep on about it every week is overkill. When he was playing well last season I don’t think he got as much stick for it.
He is not playing well looked well off the pace saturday compared where he was before the injury. It might be because he is in a higher league against better players if so a big improvement is needed to keep his place in the team.

Jonnys obsession with Conlons left foot is becoming embarrassing now.
Have a word @DannyBezza
He is right in what he says for a pro footballer not to be capable to kick a ball with both feet is unbelievable just practice kicking with your weaker foot if you only use it for standing on you will never improve it not my words but Dennis Wilshaws when he was in charge of Stoke on trent boys team and he was a English international.

6 out 10 for smithy was generous. Bloke cost us the first goal.
Smith is a out and out defender play him as one in the middle of a back 4 trying to ask him pass a ball and start attacks down the right is like asking Paverotti to run a 4 minute mile it would never happen.

Seem to remember Dave Anderson and Gil Blake in the 3rd Division at Sun Street, would it have been on a Thursday night?
Used to live 5 mins away from the sun street track went there every saturday night watching Ken Adams , Reg Fearman, Pete Jarman then a young Ivan Mauger turned up for newcastle diamonds and was unbeatable around our track, Remember the night when the special guest at the interval was Pat Pheonix [ elsie tanner] to all corrie fans driving round the track in a big car.I used to have the stoke potters badge with the bars for every new season. At the end of the season the top riders from every club used to go to Belle Vue track for the provincial riders championship remember one year Jack Kitchen won his 5 rides on the night and still did not win the championship because the top four raced off in the final a certain Ivan Mauger won the run off Jack finished second.I also used to go Belle Vue now and again my favorite rider of all time was englands Peter Craven who sadly died young while riding at Edinbough when he crashed in the wall around the track. Those were the days i treasure most watching the vale and speedway while growing up smashing memories never to be forgotten.

Yes he was came over from New Zealand and rode for Newcastle Diamonds against the potters before he came world champion. My all time favorite speedway rider was Peter Craven of Belle vue who also became world champion but was tragically killed at Edinburgh Monarchs speedway track when he hit the wall that surrounded their track a great loss to british speedway at the time.
