We need experianced players no chancing it this time.

Solihull would be a good one. Nice little ground. Near Birmingham airport. Plenty around. At least we don't have to go back to that dive, barring a catastrophic balls up from Colchester. Which is also an awful ground.
Barnet, Bromley, Solihull, Gateshead and Halifax in the NL play offs is an equally depressing prospect, but Altrincham could be good a day out I imagine.- 2

Who is up for the title next season ?

It is a little daft to blame Darren Moore. It is soley David Flintcroft and Carol Shanahan.
They need back Moore in the summer. Then we can judge. -
With the squad we have its an impossible task.Completely tactically inept.
Shocking.
Would Crosby have kept us up.
Categorically Yes.

Rudge DoF and Tony Pulis Manager seemed to work well. Most of those signings had Rudge all over them.Any 21st century managerial structures you could quote?

I remember when they were a 5th tier club before along woth Stafford. Good to see Leek on the rise again.

He would have seen us promoted in 04 had he stayed.Brian Horton was a good Vale manager. Just off to get my tin hat ready for those that think differently.- 1

Solihul Moors would be good next year.

Seems some clubs are able to sign.- 1

The manager is not the problem. He has bad tools.

Flintcroftnis the issue and those players he signed.Has he gone yet?
Man up Flickers. Take responsibility and admit your mistake. ACT NOW, DAVID!
I am convinced that this man will go down as the worst Port Vale manager in our ENTIRE history. FROM. DAY. ONE.
OUT OUT OUT!- 2

Carol is part of the blame. Carol for different reasons neglected tge playing side. Succesive owners now have done this.

Vale Park is such a major issue for Port Vale. Should have moved to a smaller stadium many years ago.

This squad would struggle in the national league. Was hoping the last time the club would see League 2.

I have a feeling we will get a win and will sneakily just stay up.

Ask Luton which they prefered to be prioritised.

Seems he wantsbus be like Crewe.

No he is the most experianced manager. Plus he signed all the players we have. He was the reason for the rubbish January signings etc.So if he takes training and matches who's looking for and interviewing managers?
Let's be honest the real reason people want him in the dugout is to give him dogs abuse. -
He covered one game I believe after boskamp. Not that relevant but genuine question did John Rudge ever manage Sjoke when they sacked someone? I can't remember he did as sure I would have remembered such a mortifying act. Anyone remember?- 1

It definitly isn't going on the squad as usual the Port Vale first team is neglected. That’s one way of looking at it.
Another way might be to explore why the club needs to have £1m injected to continue trading. I suspect paying off sacked managers and coaching staff, investing in grandiose off field facilities and having an on field product that is haemorrhaging customers probably don’t help. Nor does criticising those same customers for having the audacity to dare raise questions about the state of on field affairs.- 2

Just a managerOh right so we should get rid of him and then spend the money we probably don't have on a new dof and manager. Nice one mate very clever.- 1

I always liked the idea of a DOF seemed to work at Stoke. However we would have far better if we kept Darrel Clarke than him.
Issue is also a very typical Vale issue of needing investment. It is Carols club I get that. However she always stated that they were just custodians in her own words.- 1
