So you would pay their contract up costing a small fortune on the basis that they are likely to walk away in a few weeks time costing you nothingLike others have said in both the Fleetwood Game and on Saturday their managers changed shape and tortured us down the Flanks
What did Moore do to combat it, nothing.
I know the players are not great but you still have to react to what is happening on the Pitch, Moore is Clueless and if he is still at Vale at Christmas I will be amazed.
By the Way if I was the Owner and heard that he’s going to resign if we are relegated he would be Down the Road Immediately.

Only Carlisle, Cheltenham and Northampton with smaller wage bill.
Now I didn't get my information from here but it perfectly backs up what I was told at the start of the season by a source* close the club
*no I cannot tell you who it is
They must be pretty clued up if they know not only our wage budget but that of every club in the league at the start of the season. -
Not sure it's fair to compare, let's say 'Crosby's team' (and the players he had at his disposal) and 'Moore's team' (and the players he's got at his disposal).
Obviously, no Blaster or Devine. Also, loanees from January haven't really been successful.
You could say Crosby's team were doing well until he had lost plant and Clarke and with them any pace to carry the ball up the pitch. Devine only really played well for his last month or so and was in and out of the team when we got the majority of our points this season. He was also without garity towards the end. I don't think it is fair to judge either manager with the unbalanced squads they had. Moore may have a bit more pulling power when it comes to signing players. I also don't think the majority of the players are as bad as everyone makes out its just hard when there is no pace, no full/wing backs and it is difficult to make subs that improve the team. -
I think the players were lore demoralised by the lack of help (new signings) brought in in January than we wereWhich just makes this win so much more important to keep pace. Must admit though some of those results were a bit strange today. But should give us encouragement to go to these places and have a go.
On another point. Flitcroft goes and all of a sudden team performances improve out of sight. Any link I don't know. Makes you think though

Looked like he missed a clear and obvious handball by Dipepa before our 2nd but otherwise pretty goodThought the ref had a good game too
dont often say that -
Does anyone know if Moore has been a manager without a DOF or similar at any of his previous clubs?

Unfortunately whilst identifying players to sign we didn't entertain the fact we might be signing players for league 2Don't worry. Flitcroft always worked "three windows in advance". So we'll have loads of players lined up... -
It's amazing how much more of the game sky show in the highlights when there aren't any Premier league gamesBurton 0-1 Port Vale | League One highlights
WWW.SKYSPORTS.COM Lovely goal, loved the “kicking limps out of each other” in the edge of our D and then the bust-a-gut run to get in the right place at the right time, Loftaldo!- 2

The first half was pretty even. The second half I felt we were just about the better team until they brought Hudlin on, who many wanted us to sign, at which point I felt their performance fell off a cliff. Not excusing nor signing a forward but I would take Dipepa over him every time.

Its clearly all your fault themRight. Lucky socks and pants being worn (found them at the bottom of the smalls drawer and cursing myself for not wearing them since Christmas) and I've also offered a few prayers up to the football gods for a clean sheet and for Lofty to score. Not sure about that defence, but when was I ever? Come on lads, let's at least make it interesting and score first. UTV and heaven help us all in this weather.

Hasn't he set up 21 goal and 1 assist, he has the best ratio of all our strikers. He should start, certainly until Uche is fully fit . -
I think that to be a strong leader you have to listen to the advice of those around you but ultimately come to your own decision. If that decision ends up being a mistake then you learn from it.Ray, whilst I agree with you, somewhat. I was told by a person who works at VP,that she was advised by everyone at the club not to make the statement because of the back lash but she made the decision to do it, going against others advice.
I'm sure Carol will have made plenty of decision in the past going against advice that have got her where she is.
I'm also sure she will have made decisions in the past, going against advice she was given which she later regretted.
If she didn't go with her gut and published the letter she would probably now still be thinking that if she had things may have been different. That her show of faith in flitcroft and the players may have galvanised the squad and got the results we needed.
Even worse not going with her gut may have made her second guess every bold decision in the future.
Most people who have become incredibly successful in life look back at a point in their life where they had an idea and went with it, when everyone else told them it would never work, as the decision that made them.- 1

Whilst the quality of the Kane statue looks pretty awful the cost of £7200 surprised me when compared to the £100000 cost of the Rudge statue.
I believe the cost of the Rudge statue includes the ground work etc to put it into place but the price difference is huge.

I'm not sure it would be wise to have Ripley on the halfway line when defending a corner.I never understand this. Bring out one of our quicker players to the halfway Line and they will bring out two. So with their keeper back, a guy taking the corner and two marking our speed merchant they will only have 7 In our box instead of 9. Does that make sense or am I being daft?- 1

It did make me chuckle (then cry a bit) in Flitcroft's podcast when he was on about PL2 strikers and he stated something like we identified 6 strikers at that level that would score goals at league 1 level and the rest wouldn't. I did wonder when scoring goals at league one became an objective for him when signing strikers. He scores goals and is proven at this level
Probably didn't fit into DFs criteria- 2

Carol has made her opinion clear. I think the way people are going about it trying to force her hand will not work. She will either come to her own decision that Flitcroft needs to go, assisted by people close to her whose opinion she values, without being swayed by fans. Or fans trying to force her hand will result in her giving up on the club or perhaps more importantly the fan base. I really hope it is the former. I want Flitcroft gone but I am not arrogant enough to think that I can force her hand.

And the hub charityRetire from Synectics yes, but although her letter was quite dubious it was still very strong on her love for the local community and with Synectics sold, Vale is the only platform left for her with that.- 1

Of those players only Clarke and Mighten aren't central players (cb, cm or cf) and only Mighten and Thomas have any pace. That for me is the biggest failure for a team that have no full/wing backs or pace in the squad.I may have missed some but I reckon these are the players we've signed since 1st January 2023.
I really do thinkthat whilst not ideal we may have coped without a striker in Jan if we had just signed some bloody full backs.- 2

I think the thing that finished Thomas off was Loft getting fit. He was featuring from time to time until he played a couple of games with Loft and as a duo they were completely ineffective. We lost a midfielder and never held the ball up up top so lost our ability to dominate possesion.Didn't seem to get the minutes did he at all. Then obviously got injured for Wales.
His sheer pace caused the winner at Charlton. And I think he scored a nice goal against Sutton. But generally was underused .
Ben Williamson had pace but was erratic. I think Thomas didn't really fit our system .- 1

No one will be buying a ticket as their season ticket holding mates will get it on their behalf at no benefit to themselves.Prioritise the season ticket holders & sod everyone else. My point being it should have been made to anyone purchasing a ticket if they want boost the numbers- 1

I would imagine with Sky taking over the UK coverage they may be clamping down a bit on UK users using a vpn to view the stream. I would think they may put measures in place to prevent season passes being purchased from a UK bank account and blacklisting vpn server ip addresses. Making everyone resubscribe seems the easiest way to reset.
