    Unbelievable!
Don't think they've finished above half way since being relegated.

But, I'm sure some of their fans think that as long as they are above Vale then that's success.

Sad really! No ambition. Happy with 17th! Well done Potters!

14th is the highest they've finished

  2. I've been getting grief off Potters fans

They've won 3 league games on the trot which have saved them and basically stayed up by beating Rotherham twice.

I assume another plane will be sent over to celebrate finishing 17th

We really do have some absolute brain dead morons as fans, particularly on social media. Saying things like 'so we're going with the same squad? That's me not getting a season ticket '. Clearly this list is as it stands today, with the possible exception of keeping Uche as a 4th striker. Negotiations will be going on behind the scenes to offload some of the contracted players or come to a settlement to offload those who have no real future. We'll also obviously bring in fresh faces. So that list will change a lot by the time August comes around. Some people really do lack critical thinking skills.

I'm actually quite upbeat. We didn't get blown away too many times by the best sides in league 1. Narrow defeat to Portsmouth, Bolton, Peterborough, Barnsley and Derby at home, plus draws with Lincoln, Stevenage and a win at Oxford. There are halves of football where we've looked quite good. We just had a very soft underbelly, some players with a lack of real effort and a very poor forward line. 4 or 5 decent signings in the right places could make us into a competitive team at a lower level. This is a significant step down in terms of standard, as shown when we've played league 2 teams this season. People are rightly fearful that we're going to be rubbish again, but this is a level lower, where poor league 1 players will look better. Get rid of a few of the losers, bring in a couple of leaders and concentrate the bulk of the budget on 2 decent strikers and all of a sudden things look more positive.

    3-0 at Fleetwood,Derby,Bristol,7 at Barnsley

20 league games where we didn't s ire

    7/17 under Moore

This squad are serial losers in the league...26 home defeats in 2 seasons I think

Which you say is worse than 2 points out of 18.

    O

    I thought meant my calculations

Yes no erm in terms of collectively and individually you are right

Yes no erm in terms of renewing my season ticket individually and collectively,I won't be renewing my ST

Jacko,2 points out of 18 is bad,are you saying 10 out of 51 is acceptable? I honestly think we played worse under Moore,we didn't score in 10/17 games

We were in the relegation zone when he took over and had got two points from the previous 18 available.  I'm not saying he's the answer to our prayers and he may turn out to be another poor Flitcroft/Carol decision but I think we just need to give him a chance with a clean slate.  All of this sacking managers every five minutes does no good at all.  Rudgie got relegated in his first spell in charge but if we'd sacked him how different things would have been.

Fancy mentioning Rudgie in the same post as Moore!

2 points from the previous 18

    He got 10 from 51

    I think he's rubbish

And don't get me started on Carol...

Under two different managers.  Moore joined Huddersfield in September after the window had closed and he'd inherited a dodgy squad.  He came to Vale after the window had closed and he inherited a dodgy squad with two overpaid strikers who couldn't score if their lives depended on it.  Let's see what he can do when he brings in his own players and has a full pre season with them.  If we still look garbage well he'll have to suffer the consequences.

I can't agree he is one of the worst managers though.  Have you forgotten Michael Brown, Jim Gannon, Denis Butler to name just a few?!!

I know all of them. Look at Moore's record,Jacko?

We weren't in the relegation zone and had a -15 goal difference after 29 games. Moore managed a -18 in 17 games. I think he's dreadful and I didn't go the last 2 home games due to the awful football

  7. Moore is up there with one of the worst managers I've seen. His tactics and substitutions were poor. The argument of inheriting a poor squad is a weak one when you consider he had 17 games left, including games against relegation rivals,in and around us. Apart from Burton and Bristol we only won 2 games.

17 games,10 points. Reverted back to 3-5-2 and played a MF at RWB last game of the season. Shocking.

Lowe,Grant,Smith,Lopata, Iacovitti,Debrah....even Ojo. With his experience could Moore not figure out how to show some of them how to play FB instead of playing Massey,Sang,Shorrock and Plant at WB?

We've gone down cos we're not good enough. Moore left Chislett out too much. When Garrity was back I'd have preferred him up front and play Walters/Weir alongside Ojo(even Plant started in MF at Ipswich last year) ...to at least offer a goal threat. We scored in 7/17 games.

5 more years of his waffling tripe. Well done Carol.

If a team is losing by employing the same tactics week in week out,why revert back to them? I'd have preferred Will Ryder in charge-at least we tried under him.

It flew over at 12.30 plenty of video evidence on X of them laughing at us.

It must be fantastic to gloat when you're 18th in the Championship.

Never finished above 14th since they got relegated, have the richest chairperson outside of the Prem, who has pumped millions into the club.

A team who has avoided relegation by beating Rotherham twice.

    DazFred,

We can begin to judge sensibly next season, when Darren and his staff have had the chance to bring in and work with their own choice of players.

    Sensibly?

    I'm merely stating facts.

Moore's garbage tactics has resulted in me staying away the last 2 matches and I'm a season ticket holder.

He has God knows how many coaches and yet we can't score goals or keep them out

I have to be honest and say I have missed the last home game and will be missing today for the first time(despite past <ovf censored> seasons) it's made me so fed up,unless i am really ill or on holiday i never miss home games,we have a caravan sited in Nantwich/Audlem which we go most weekends but me and my lad always go Vale from there(not far I know 🙂 ). We have season tickets so wont lose the money and we will be renewing for next season as i have done for over 40yrs now(apart from the one seo season, which i hated Bratt even more for breaking my season ticket every year cycle) I just hope the summer rebuild gets my umph back 🙂

    Exactly my sentiments.

I hope they win but Carol has made mistakes after mistake this season and won't be getting my hard earned money in the clubs coffers.

I save each month so the moneys there but I have no enthusiasm. Having seen the line up Im glad I'm giving it a miss

In the interest of maintaining local harmony, let me say congratulations to all Stoke fans on the expert way your BILLIONAIRE owners have wisely invested further tens of £m’s to secure safety in the second tier with a game to spare. Champagne corks popping all round I say 🤔

Is this the team that have stayed up through beating Rotherham twice? And haven't finished above 14th since they got relegated?

It isn't just the letter though is it. There are a lot more examples that as owner she has overseen and been responsible for, that have upset supporters in one way or another. I for one, being a long term ST holder have taken a good look at myself and decided along with with a few others I'd imagine will not be renewing. Those actions speak louder than words.

    Me too

Each to their own...there will be true Vale fans there, showing they still support the club. There will be others there to moan and groan, too, of course! It's always been so!

Mine are season tickets Tony so whether I'm there or not,the club still had my money up front. So "true fan"? What is the "true" definition? I'm staying away because I've had enough of the dross I've had to watch for 2 seasons...there's probably between 5 & 10 matches I've enjoyed.

Take Devine,Arblaster,Garrity and Chislett out and we'd have finished 10 points below Carlisle.

    Grant,Massey,Ojo,Sang,Clark,Wilson...stealing a wage

Yes - he will! The true Vale fans will be there next match. The keyboard warriors from this season will be at home wondering which player, or Shanahan family member, to target this time?

I'm a true fan Tony but I wasn't at Wycombe and I won't be there next week.

We've lost 25 league games at home out of 45. My philosophy is if I'm not enjoying something I walk away.

Our owner has treated the fans atrociously and hidden away from it all.

Get rid of Moore...2 wins in 16,9 points out of 48. Dreadful
