VPN and iFollow but that is against the rules.

I'm in the UK so ifollow isn't available for Saturday games...and I don't know how to go about getting a VPN. Reading the forum during the game, a lot of the observations seemed to be based on what people were seeing hence my enquiry about watching the aways I can't get to.

I don't think I have witnessed many worse Vale displays.

This just makes me wish I'd gone now. There's not many things sweeter than having an ale on a Saturday night and raising your glass to an underserved point.

Good last Saturday, poor today - who'd have thought it from a mid-table team in the Third Division!

Glad the travelling Valiants got something to cheer in the end - over 400 in attendance is pretty decent all things considered.

I cannot disagree with anything in this post Warren. What worries me is that we obviously have a cash problem, certainly going back to Januarys transfer window, if not beyond.

Crosby was the cheap option to replace DC, personally I think we need to replace him, and also bring in key players at LB, LWB and Striker, but because the finance position is certainly no better now, we cannot do this. These are worrying times.

Genuinely interested to know the source of this information.

I would expect progress on last season but we are worse off points and position wise. Crosby should have gone at the end of October, it is now too late for a new manager to use the January window. All we can do now is support with the very little enthusiasm that we have left and hope for a miracle.

For Middlesborough, I wouldn't be surprised with a 1-0 win or a 7-0 spanking. In the league we need to be better than four other teams, recent and long term form shows we are slightly better than Exeter, Cheltenham will overtake us and so will the rest. If we keep going as we are with no change in tactics or the way we do things then we are down.

Would our current squad beat the promotion squad? Not a chance, that is really disappointing. No doubt Smithie is still happy to watch us crumble though.

Wow, I'm flattered anyone remembers what I've written given I've forgotten it myself soon after.

Anyway we're crumbling nicely at the moment. 9 points clear of the drop and a League Cup Quarter Final to look forward to.

    You must be gutted.

    Good god

All what’s been wrote on here today regarding the training pitch and the sale of the club is not true

The time last season carol was getting slated for getting rid of speedy cause the state of the pitch now look at it it’s best it’s ever been

The training pitch is nowhere near the standard of the main pitch and carol is looking at spending more of her money on bringing it up to the standard of the main pitch the council and what’s happening with dimensions is holding that up

There is absolutely no truth in dono or Robbie buying the vale 100%

We are in good hands and all the posters who are spreading <ovf censored> about her and her family and what they are trying to do is embarrassing

Lets hope you don’t drive her and her money away from us

Absolutely. As if she's got the time or obligation to justify herself to every bit of crap thrown her way. Over the last year some of our "fans" have been utter embarrassments with their abuse and disrespect towards CS.

I'd put good money on it that none of them have bothered to drop her a line directly. Far easier to do it from the anonymity of a computer.

If you're saying we've got no chance of getting anything from Wigan or Wycombe we might as well give up.

Thankfully football throws up surprises and changes in fortune - l doubt many were predicting we'd score three times on Tuesday.

But the question was; If we win one/both of the league of games and beat Boro, would you still want AC gone given where that would put us in the league and Cup?

I don't know why you are defending the un defendable, when you say you would have taken mid table and a qf in league cup. Will you change your mind at 5pm on the 23rd Dec when we could be out of the cup, and pending other results be in the bottom 4 on current form.1 in 13.

If you've seen the fixtures of the teams beneath us there's virtually zero likelihood of us being in the bottom four before Christmas. Technically possible, yes but extremely unlikely.

Equally long-shot (but possible) is we win one or both of the League games and beat Boro. Then we're looking at mid-table and two historic semi-final matches to look forward to. So the question is - would you change your mind then? Or would you want out a manager in mid-table and 2 games from Wembley in his first half-season as manager?

Mate we can still support the club and accept we have been crap - it's not mutually exclusive 👍

I don't think anyone says you can't - but "crap" is too broad a brush. I really enjoyed the Reading and Bolton games, the Crewe and Mansfield games in the Cup were entertaining for different reasons (one for the penalty drama, one for the performance), we were good value at Burton in the FA Cup and by all accounts we were deserving of more at Portsmouth. I'm sure the fans who saw us win at Charlton, Oxford and Exeter enjoyed the victories.

Surely people get to make the decision if they want to attend the matches or not.

If you are not enjoying watching the games why should you keep going?

But isn't the element of surprise and the unexpected what keeps us going to matches? If we all knew what was going to happen we could lump on at the bookies.

I don’t use  the forum as my barometer although I find it interesting reading different views which is why I don’t block any poster.

I talk to other fans at games around me, Twitter,Ale and Vale Podcast, my mates and family . Honestly I don’t know any person who actually wants Crosby as manager.

I also suggest the dwindling home attendances show fans are voting.

Fair enough, I don't bother with that Ale and Vale thing as it seems to go on for hours. And I'd never take a footy forum so seriously I'd block anyone either - it's a bit of fun to pass the time when I am (or should be) working!

They were thinking it's a local Derby 30 odd miles up the road and for many a few sherbets in a decent little town.

Has no connection to a game v Stevenage whatsoever.

I was making the point that people went to that one despite AC being the manager, and the cost of a ticket plus beers must have been much more than the £15 they'd be paying tonight.

There's a few in the Hamil but no where near Bycars available numbers. Maybe 1000 available max. Railway is the one that surprises me, it's just a sea of green, more so in the paddock but not great in the stand either. Shame, it will look rubbish on the highlights. Hopefully my earlier predictions that Vale fans leave everything to the last minute turns out to be accurate and we sell a load in the last few days. Like v Crewe, must have sold 1.5 to 2k in there on the day of the game.

Really hope so....but if not, it's up to us who are there to raise the roof. The Paddock would have filled up much quicker if Boro had still been in the Hamil, and we'd have been able to offer them 1k more tickets.
