Port Vale manager John Askey said he was “really pleased” with his side performed during the goalless draw with Cheltenham and added “we deserved to win.”
The Valiants took on a Cheltenham side who had a 100% record at home this year and had the better of the chances. Vale hit the bar through Mark Cullen and also had two penalty appeals turned down.
Speaking after the match, Askey told the media: “I am really pleased with how we played, I thought we deserved to win the game.
