Ben Amos player profile

Experienced goalkeeper Ben Amos was signed by Port Vale in the summer of 2024 to give competition to Connor Ripley. Amos had started his career at Manchester United and had been capped at England U21 level.

“We made the decision to bring in a goalkeeper that possesses the quality of Ben in order to enhance the competition for the number one spot,” manager Darren Moore told the club website.

Amos had to be patient for his chance but was first-choice for the second-half of the 2024-25 season as the club celebrated promotion. He was also first-choice for a spell in his second season but was not as convincing and was released in the summer.
