Port Vale manager Darren Moore has confirmed that Ben Garrity will be ruled out of action for “some time”
Speaking after the Football League Trophy game Moore told the inhouse PVTV team: “Garrity is going to be out for some time. He sustained the injury during the game against Lincoln. Disappointing news but we have to move on.”
The Valiant newsletter claims that the midfielder could be ruled out for six weeks.
The Vale captain, now 28 years of age has been beset by injuries in the last couple of seasons. It follows a brilliant start to his Vale career which saw him win promotion in 2022 after his first season with the club.
Fortunately, Vale have plenty of numbers in central midfield. George Byers and Rhys Walters both impressed in the 5-0 Football League Trophy win over Barnsley while the Valiants also have Ryan Croasdale, Funso Ojo, George Hall and Jordan Shipley.
