Port Vale manager Darren Moore says that some of the performances during Tuesday’s Football League Trophy draw with Fleetwood Town have given him “food for thought” ahead of the home League game against Wycombe Wanderers.
We highlighted the performance of Belgian Funso Ojo, who set up two of the goals in midweek.
Moore told the club’s inhouse PVTV team: “The best thing that came out of Tuesday was minutes into the boys’ legs. We’ll certainly benefit from the squad getting some minutes. There’s quite a few in there that have given us food for thought (with their performances).”
The manager admitted that the team’s League form has been poor adding: “We know it’s not good enough. We know we’ve let ourselves down. We’ve looked at it as a group. We’ve got to be more consistent, more commanding and more demanding. We understand the responsibilities we carry towards the football club. We want a consistent, solid ninety minutes of football.
“It’s a long season. We’re sure that the storm we have been in will pass if we are committed. We are together as a club and we understand the position.”
Speaking about opponents Wycombe, Moore said it was: “Another tough game. Michael’s gone in there and turned the tide. We know they are a good team. We know we’re going to have to be at our level best.”

So Tuesday has given Mr Moore food for thought let’s see if he acts on that by picking players that are performing i.e.ojo George hall and Walters plus Paton and let’s see if he drops his underperformers i.e. Byers and garrity
Agree with you .Moore would make it great politician doesn’t answer the question provides a useless answer or doesn’t answer the question or waffles on about anything other than replying to the question. It concerns me that there never seems to be any follow up question to try and get a response to the original question. In the Valiant it has been mentioned that reporters are told of areas where no questions will be answered.
The person who should be answering the questions is Carol she seems to of disappeared completely, I personally would like to know what she sees in this so called manager.Thr actual football is terrible, his tactics do not exist, and from what I hear his man management does not exist, who knows after the weekend game Mr Moore may not exist as the Vale manager
