Eighth tier Maldon and Tiptree will travel to Vale Park to play the Valiants in the first round of the FA Cup.
The Jammers are top of the Isthmian League North Division – 103 places below Vale in the English football pyramid.
The Essex club are the lowest ranked side in the draw and the match could earn a television spot as a result. However, Vale have come unstuck against non-league opponents in the FA Cup in the past – losing to the likes of Chasetown, Kings Lynn Town and Canvey Island.
The first round ties will be played around the weekend of Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November.

This “banana skin” tie is exactly what the FA Cup is all about. This could be the lowest ever ranked opposition to face the Vale in the Cup. We should absolutely sail through and earn the win bonus to Round 2, unless there’s the biggest Potteries FA Cup upset since Blythe Spartans humiliated Stoke in 1978.
Could well be a potential shock result when you see numerous ex league players in The Jammers side . Freddie Sears immediately springs to mind!
But several others, especially from nearby Colchester United. A tough test for both teams.
Come on you Jammers that’s upset port vale.
