Port Vale duo shortlisted for League Two monthly awards

Striker Lorent Tolaj and manager Darren Moore are both on the shortlist for the April League Two player of the month and manager of the month awards.

The citation for Tolaj on the Football League website reads:

Six goals and two assists for Tolaj who has looked more comfortable since moving alongside Jayden Stockley in a front two. A Vale fan favourite for his work-rate, his goals included a glorious curler against Bradford and a scissor kick at Walsall.

Tolaj will be up against Luke Molyneux of Doncaster Rovers, Omari Patrick of Tranmere Rovers and Ben Woods of Accrington Stanley.

The citation for Moore reads:

After losing key players to injury, Moore has integrated them back into his side for a final push to earn automatic promotion with 13 points from six games and crucial victories against promotion rivals Walsall, Bradford and Wimbledon.

Moore will be up against Ian Holloway (Swindon), Grant McCann (Doncaster) and Karl Robinson (Salford).
