Port Vale youngster scores twice on his International debut
Port Vale youngster Baylee Dipepa made his England U17 debut on Wednesday and scored twice after coming on as a second-half sub.
Dipepa was introduced in the 58th minute and scored on 66 and 69 minutes as England U17’s secured a comprehensive 5-1 win over Northern Ireland.
The striker’s goals were described on the englandfootball.com website as:
Right-back Leo Shahar delivered a sublime cross into the box to find substitute Dipepa, whose header looped over William Murdock between the sticks. Almost immediately after, Nwaneri’s driving run down the left flank ended with a perfect pass to the feet of Dipepa, who made it 4-1 with his second of the day.
The 17 year-old from Blythe Bridge has been at the club since nine years of age and has made impressive progress this season. Dipepa scored his first senior goal, becoming the club’s second-youngest ever scorer, on the 10th March while a run of appearances in the first-team saw him awarded his first senior contract with the Valiants. He is one of just four Football League players in the 21 man squad.
