Young striker agrees first pro deal with Port Vale
Teenaged striker Bayley Dipepa has agreed his first professional contract with Port Vale FC after breaking into the first-team this season.
Dipepa, who hails from Blythe Bridge and has been with the Valiants since eight years of age, recently turned 17 years of age. He has agreed a two year deal with the club.
The forward has made nine substitute appearances in all competitions this season.
Manager Andy Crosby told the official website: “I am really pleased that Baylee has agreed his first professional deal with the club.
“He has been involved with the First Team setup for a number of months now across training and several fixtures. The way that he has adapted to the environment and the way that he has conducted and applied himself is an absolute credit to Baylee and his family. It speaks volumes of the determination and drive that he has to succeed.
“It’s really important that there is a pathway for Academy players through to the First Team if they are good enough. Baylee has proven he has the potential to have a career as a professional footballer. Myself, along with all the First Team staff, all look forward to continuing to work with him to further his development on and off the pitch.”
