“Nothing concrete” – Port Vale manager issues update on Uche Ikpeazu rumours
Port Vale manager Andy Crosby says there has been interest in striker Uche Ikpeazu but there is “nothing concrete” and the player trained with the squad on Thursday.
Speaking to the local media Crosby said: “We are obviously aware of some interest in Uche but there’s interest in other players as well.” Asked if there had been any offers, Crosby said: “No, nothing concrete at all. He was here (at training) this morning.”
Sky Sports claim that Wycombe Wanderers and Charlton Athletic are both interested in the player with some media outlets saying Ikpeazu is in “advanced talks” with Charlton.
Ikpeazu signed for the Valiants in October 2023 in a deal which at the time was said to be “at least until the end of the 2023-24 season.” Ikpeazu has found form after gaining match fitness and got off the mark in a draw with Charlton.
