Gibbons makes Cambridge move
Former Port Vale full-back James Gibbons, a member of the 2022 promotion side, has moved to Cambridge United on loan. Gibbons left Burslem to join Bristol Rovers where he had made 48 appearances although his opportunities this season have been limited.
Balmer set for League Two switch?
Crystal Palace defender Kofi Balmer, who had a disappointing loan spell at Vale Park during the first-half of the season is reportedly interesting League Two side AFC Wimbledon. The Dons are missing another former Valiant, defender Ryan Johnson and are apparently lining up Balmer as a replacement.
Clarke set to reunite with Taylor?
Cheltenham Town manager Darrell Clarke is set to work with striker Matty Taylor for the third time. Clarke managed Taylor at Bristol Rovers before bringing him in on loan at Vale Park last season. Taylor now at Forest Green has been linked in the local media with a switch to West Country rivals Cheltenham.
