Port Vale could face Lucas Covolan’s Maidstone Utd in FA Cup third round
Port Vale or Stevenage have been drawn against non-league Maidstone United in the third round of the 2023 FA Cup.
The two sides drew 1-1 on Saturday with Funso Ojo levelling things for the Valiants from the penalty spot. If Vale progress in the replay they will travel to Maidstone in the third round.
United have former Valiants keeper Lucas Covolan in goal this season and the Brazilian could be reunited with his former team. The 32 year-old was signed by the Valiants in 2021 and made 22 appearances before being released in 2023.
The Kent side reached the third round after a 2-1 win over League Two Barrow on Saturday.
