James Wilson extends stay with Port Vale
Port Vale have confirmed that striker James Wilson will remain with the club until the end of the season.
The forward was released in the summer before rejoining the club after a trial. He initially signed a deal until the end of 2023. This season he has scored twice in sixteen appearances.
Port Vale Manager Andy Crosby told the official website: “I am absolutely delighted that James has extended his contract with the club. James has undoubtable qualities both on and off the pitch and he absolutely embodies every characteristic that we look for here at Port Vale FC. We all look forward to working with him for the rest of the season at the very least.“
The 28 year-old striker has now made ninety appearances for the club, scoring twenty times. Wilson also scored a memorable goal in the 2022 play-off final win at Wembley which secured promotion to League One.

Doesn’t play many games. Doesn’t score many goals. Hard to get past those facts.
