Celebrity fans ponder investment
Elsewhere in the national press, there are stories that celebrity supporters Robbie Williams and Phil Taylor are pondering investing in the club in the future.
According to the Sun, Williams commented: “The Ryan Reynolds thing (his investment in Wrexham) is intoxicating. It’s a beautiful story. It’s fascinating. It’s a fairytale. I’d like to be involved in something like that. My big love in football is Port Vale, a very small team in the UK, so somewhere down the line I’ll have something to do with it.”
Phil Taylor told Talksport that he would be interested in joining Williams commenting: “Would I invest in Port Vale? I don’t know. I’m friends with Robbie, but he’s never mentioned anything to me. But if he asked me, I’d probably consider it, yeah. I might even get a game with my dodgy hip!”
