Port Vale rumour: Valiants linked with Huddersfield Town striker
Journalist Alan Nixon, a source of many lower league rumours, says that Port Vale are keen on bringing in a Huddersfield Town striker on loan.
The Valiants have been linked with 23 year-old, six foot nine inches tall forward Kyle Hudlin, who has been in decent goalscoring form for Huddersfield in pre-season.
Reporter Nixon has claimed on his Patreon page that the Terriers are ‘ready’ to loan him out ahead of the 2023/24 campaign and the Valiants are ‘keen’ to land him.
Hudlin started his career in non-league with spells at Castle Vale Town and Solihull United before Solihull Moors snapped him up in 2020. He went on to make 69 appearances in all competitions for the Moors and chipped in with 17 goals before landing a move to the Football League.
Huddersfield Town handed him a two-year deal at the John Smith’s Stadium. He was loaned out to League Two side AFC Wimbledon last season where he netted four times in nineteen games.
The Valiants are keen to add more forward options as manager Andy Crosby told the media after Saturday’s loss to Doncaster Rovers as they have just one central forward – Ellis Harrison – under contract at this point.
