Holden nets goal in European tie
Rory Holden, who we reported had joined Total Network Solutions earlier this summer, was the club’s goalscorer as they drew 1-1 with Swift Hepserange in the Europa Conference League second qualifying round.
Donnelly goes on loan to Dundee
Dundee have signed Nottingham Forest defender Aaron Donnelly on a season-long loan.
The former Port Vale loanee is the Dark Blues’ fifth loan signing this summer and will bolster Docherty’s defensive options.
Dundee boss Tony Docherty told the local media: “I am really pleased Aaron chose us as he did have three other suitors down in England and he chose to come to Dundee after conversations with us and coming up to see the facilities.”
Vincent nets coaching spot
Ashley Vincent has been appointed Cheltenham Town’s new first team coach.
The former Port Vale player, who won promotion in 2013, has been helping manager Wade Elliott out during pre-season after the departure of Marcus Bignot to Shrewsbury Town and Russell Milton switching from assistant manager to head of recruitment. The 38-year-old joins new assistant manager Kevin Russell as part of Elliott’s new-look backroom staff.
Amoo moves on to Ebbsfleet
Former Port Vale forward David Amoo has agreed terms with National League side Ebbsfleet following his release from Crewe Alex,
Amoo, a popular figure at Vale Park, was part of the squad which won promotion to League One in 2022.
