Port Vale FC Women’s captain Meg Baldwin has joined Moorland Radio as a sports reporter.
Baldwin will already be well-known to Vale fans after offering match summaries on several games for BBC Radio Stoke last season.
In this new role, she will contribute to the live Moorlands Radio Sports Show each Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 6pm and will also produce content for the website with a vlog/podcast also potentially in the pipeline.
Meg will join experienced Port Vale reporter Mike Stubbs as often as possible to cover the Port Vale first team as well as keeping a close eye on the Womens side. There will be increased output from Vale Park including pre-match and post-match analysis and interviews with managers, coaches and players throughout the new season.
Baldwin told us: “I’m so excited to start this role, it’s a great opportunity for me to grow within the sports industry and to work alongside my new colleagues, who I will develop and learn from. I’m so grateful for the opportunity.”
With her role as captain of the Port Vale FC Women’s team, Meg also hopes to give “local people more of an insight into local women’s football.”
