Port Vale confirm Grimsby Town friendly game which will be played in Spain
The Valiants have announced that they will take on League Two outfit Grimsby Town at the Real Club de Golf Campoamor Resort in Alicante as part of the club’s summer friendly fixture list.
Grimby finished in eleventh place in League Two last season during a campaign notable for an excellent FA Cup run. Former Valiants defender Danny Amos played in that cup run and could face his former club while another former Valiant, loanee Donovan Wilson, joined the side in June. Meanwhile, Vale defender Dan Jones played a handful of games for Grimsby back in 2016.
According to the club:
We can now confirm the details of our pre-season friendly against Sky Bet League Two side, Grimsby Town that will take place in Spain.
The Valiants will take on The Mariners on Friday 21st July 2023 at the Real Club de Golf Campoamor Resort in Alicante.
Kick-off is scheduled for 11am and admission for supporters is free but please be aware that there is no seating or parking available at the venue.
There is plenty of space at the side of the pitch to stand and watch the game from and refreshments will also be available.
