Former Valiants: released Port Vale striker Jamie Proctor joins David Worrall at Barrow

League Two side Barrow have announced the signing of their second former Port Vale player of the summer.

After long-serving winger David Worrall opted to join the Bluebirds, they have now announced the signing of striker Jamie Proctor.

Proctor, who helped the club to promotion in 2013 was one of a number of players released at the end of the season.

A Barrow statement said: “We are delighted to announce the signing of Jamie Proctor following the end of his contract at Port Vale.

The deal will see the striker link up with Barrow on an initial one-year deal, with an option for a further year.”

Barrow already boast three former Valiants in their ranks – Ben Whitfield, Richie Bennett and Sam Foley.
