It’s been a pleasure – classy Pett pays tribute to Port Vale after exit
Classy midfielder Tom Pett has paid tribute to Port Vale FC after he was released at the end of the season.
The experienced central midfielder had an exemplary time at the club, playing 47 times as the club obtained promotion in 2022 and then adding a further 39 appearances in League One. However, the midfielder will be 33 in December and is now on the lookout for a new club.
Posting on Twitter Pett commented: “Made some great memories at an amazing football club. Thanks to everyone associated with @OfficialPVFC, it’s been a pleasure! Time to enjoy my summer and recharge ready for a new chapter.”
Pett was one of six players released by the Valiants at the end of the 2022-23 season.
