What they said
On behalf of the club, the board would like to thank the 2022/23 playing squad and backroom staff for the work they have put in this season which saw us achieve our prior objective of retaining our Sky Bet League One status for next year.
This part of the year is always a difficult time in football where we say goodbye to players that have played a huge part in our history. They leave with gratitude and best wishes of everybody at the club for the way they have committed themselves to grow and progress Port Vale over the past two years and we wish them nothing but success in the future.
We’d also like to extend thanks to Nottingham Forest, Oxford United, West Ham United, Blackburn Rovers and Cremonese for allowing their players to play for us on loan this season. We look forward to further developing our working relationship with these clubs.
The players return to their respective clubs having experienced an environment where they have been able to showcase their ability and we’d like to thank and wish them the best for their futures.
