Port Vale pair set to return for FA Cup first round clash
Port Vale manager Darrell Clarke says that David Worrall and Leon Legge will be in his squad for the FA Cup first round game against Accrington Stanley.
Worrall missed the 4-1 win over Crawley but Clarke confirmed at a press conference that: “Wozza is fine for tomorrow.”
Veteran defender Legge returned to training this week and Clarke added: “He will be on the bench tomorrow. We have nine subs. He might play a bit of a part in the Tuesday night game but he can only do that because he has looked after himself through his injury.”
Clarke paid tribute to Legge’s professionalism saying: “It is great to have him back in training, I can’t speak highly enough of Leon Legge as a professional.”
The Vale manager also gave an update on Vale’s other injured players saying: “Ryan (Johnson) and Hursty (Alex Hurst) are getting back on the grass and doing light work (and) Devante Rodney has an ongoing problem.”
However, Jamie Proctor will miss two to three weeks after undergoing surgery.
