Port Vale captain named PFA League Two fans’ player of the year
Port Vale skipper Tom Conlon has been named the League Two fans’ player of the year by the Professional Footballers Association.

Conlon beat off competition from Bolton’s Eoin Doyle, Cambridge Utd’s Paul Mullin, Salford City’s Ian Henderson, Exeter City forward Matt Jay and Harrogate Town striker Jack Muldoon.

Conlon was in superb form last season and swept the board at the Port Vale player of the year awards. He duly signed a contract extension with the club in the summer.

.What a great result for Tom Conlon. He certainly had a good all round season and it is a wonderful achievement for him to he pick up such a prestigious award. Let’s hope that he can lead Vale to better things. UTV.
